VI. Description
Having knowledge about first aid enables you to assist persons
who become injured in the event of an accident or emergency
situation until help arrives. First aid skills can be applied in the home,
the workplace or in public locations, therefore the more people who
are knowledgeable about First Aid, the safer that community
becomes.
Many accidents occur in schools ranging from minor scrapes
and wounds to fractures and other health problems that require a
swift initial medical response. Providing students with first aid training
helps to reduce risk and empower them with the ability to assess and
manage the situation in the event of a medical emergency. This
training will also help them acquire basic knowledge on how to
prepare whenever a disaster comes. Disasters are inevitable but the
loss and damage it can provide can be minimized.
This training is for School DRRM Watching Team who are
taking up this training. This project will serve as their culminating
activity as per requirement in their DRRR. Teachers of DRRR will
spearhead this activity. This training will also provide more knowledge
and skills for the teachers. The committee will invite authorized
personnel who can provide enough knowledge on first aid and
disaster preparedness, specifically, the Municipal Disaster Risk
Reduction and Management Council. The proposed date for this
activity is on the third week of August 30, 2023 Tuesday 12:00-3:00
PM.
