Application for the position of University Lecturer
Dear Mr. Haval Qadr,
I would like to be considered for the above position and hope to demonstrate how much I could bring to
it. My research and teaching interests fit extremely well with the requirements of this post and with the
existing members of staff. I have extensive teaching experience in the department of English at Salahaddin
University, most of it focused on teaching English as a second language and linguistics. My work provides
a useful link between Teaching English language and researching in this field in the department,
encouraging research and teaching collaborations.
A talented, well organized and strong classroom performer; as a passionate and an inspirational teacher
with very high personal standards, I am committed to the learning and development of students. I have
high expectations of both myself and my pupils, and motivate every student as an individual. I believe in
a strong communication between a teacher and students and encourage them. My goal is to explore a lot
and be through a lot of challenges and learn new things. Moreover, I am a multi-skilled, reliable and
talented translator with a proven ability to translate written documents from a source language to a target
language. A quick learner who can absorb new ideas and can communicate clearly and effectively with
people from all social & professional backgrounds. My long-term goal is be a phd candidate some day.
I would be grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate my capabilities further at interview. I look
