SPECIAL POWER OF ATTORNEY
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
I, LADY CATHERINE JACA, Filipino Citizen, of legal age, with office

address 2612 Soho Central Condominium, Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City do hereby
name, constitute and appoint Atty. Jon Dominic P. Peñaranda, Filipino citizens,
of legal ages, with office address at 18/F One Corporate Centre, Dona Julia Vargas,
cor. Meralco Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig City, to be my true and lawful attorneys-in-
fact to do and perform in my behalf, including the power to consider and agree,
among others, any of the following acts and deeds:
1. Represent us as defendants in the case entitled “PEOPLE OF THE

PHILIPPINES VS. CHEENEE ALFONSO AGUILAR ,” for violation of
SYNDICATED ESTAFA and VIOLATION OF B.P.22 with criminal
case no. “R-QZN-21-04519-CR” and “M-QZN-21-04276-82-CR” and
docketed with Regional Trial Court, Quezon City, Branch 230 and
Metropolitan Trial Court, Quezon City, Branch 135 to
defend/prosecute the same in my stead, including representing me and
attending on my behalf any meetings, hearings in court, preliminary
conference, pre-trial, trial, mediation, and the like in the aforementioned
cases;
2. Consider and decide on the following:
A. The simplification of the issues;

B. The necessity or desirability of amendments to the
pleadings;
C. The possibility of obtaining stipulations or admissions of
facts and of documents to avoid unnecessary proof;
D. The elimination of the number of witnesses;
E. The propriety of rendering judgment on the pleadings, or
summary judgment, or of dismissing the action should a
valid ground therefor be found to exist;
F. The possibility or necessity of suspending the proceeding;
G. Sign, verify and certify any pleading and/or affidavit on
my behalf;
H. A clear specification of material facts which remain
controverted;
I. Negotiation and enter into of any amicable settlement or
compromise in this case;
J. To execute and submit and submit any and all affidavits
of desistance in connection with the cases above.
K. To make, sign, execute and deliver any pertinent
documents or other writings deemed necessary to carry
into effect the above-said purpose; and

L. To sign any documents or do whatever is necessary in
connection with the above-mentioned authority.
M. Appear and sign any affidavit, document or pleading for
and on my behalf;
N. To appear and represent me in any hearing, including but
not limited to pre-trial, trial, mediation, mediation,
conference, in any and all government agencies including
courts, prosecutor’s office, mediation, and the like; and
O. To make, sign, execute and deliver any pertinent
documents or other writings deemed necessary to carry
into effect the above-said purpose;
3. Appear on behalf of the Principal, enter into an amicable

settlement, to submit to alternative modes of dispute resolution,
and to enter into stipulations or admissions of facts and documents;
4. Sign any documents or do whatever is necessary in connection with

the above-mentioned authority; and
5. To further delegate this authority and to take such action as may be

in our interests, as fully as we could do if personally present, and for
this purpose, to sign and execute any instruments or documents
involving the above-captioned authority.
HEREBY GIVING AND GRANTING, unto our attorneys-in-fact full power

and authority whatsoever requisite or necessary or proper to be done in or about the
premises, as fully to all intents and purposes as I might or could lawfully do if
personally present, save only in the matter of appointing a substitute other than the
substitute herein designated and hereby ratifying and confirming all that our said
attorney-in-fact shall do or cause to be done under and by virtue of this instrument.
