SD110 - Engine shock mount failures

NOTE!
Read and understand the safety instructions in the Operator's and
Service Manuals for the machine.
This Service Bulletin is to be considered as technical information
only and is solely applicable for normal warranty in case of
breakdown. Proactive replacement parts are not considered to be
normal warranty.

Cause
The engine shock mounts (RM 70932538) exhibit cracking on the
bottom surface where the bottom snubbing washer (RM
96746433) contacts the rubber portion of the mounts indicating
excess contact due to rebounding loads, see Fig. 1.

Examples shown of damaged cracked bottom
surface of shock mounts.

Action
A new step washer (VOE12833661) has been introduced to
ensure a minimum gap of 3 – 4mm between the bottom of the
shock mounts and the step washer to prevent the rubber from
rubbing against the washer.
In case of field repairs, change the bottom side washer with the
new step washer, see 1, Fig. 2. The top side washer (RM
96746433) remains the same, see 2, Fig. 2.
