Midway through the 1990s, leaders in the fields of medicine and public
health created the Medicine/Public Health Initiative as "an evolving
forum in which representatives of both sectors can explore their
mutual interests in improving health and can define collaborative
mechanisms to achieve that goal." The Initiative's participants
developed six goals that they and others in the fields of medicine and
public health across the country should aim The writers go into great
detail on the six aims and highlight the crucial (Fulmer 1999).
The absence of thorough evaluation techniques is one of the study's
significant weaknesses. It is challenging to assess the success of many
public health efforts since they are carried out without the required
monitoring and evaluation. It becomes difficult to determine which
initiatives are effective and which ones require improvement without
reliable evaluation tools. The scant attention paid to cost-effectiveness
is another flaw. It is crucial to make sure that investments in public
health programs produce the greatest possible returns on investment.
There isn't enough evidence, though, to say if these programs are
effective in terms of costs incurred per successful outcome.
Additionally, additional long-term studies are required to evaluate the
viability of public health measures. While short-term assessments
might offer insightful information, comprehending the long-term
consequences is essential.
This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness and effeciency
of "Health Initiatives" in barangay bankal.
