Holiday Schedule for 2024

Legal Holiday Observances

New Year’s Day Monday, January 1


Dr. Martin Luther King Day Monday, January 15
President’s Day Monday, February 19
Memorial Day Monday, May 27
Juneteenth Wednesday, June 19
Independence Day Thursday, July 4
Labor Day Monday, September 2
Thanksgiving Day (i) Thursday, November 28
Christmas Day Wednesday, December 25

i. Einstein will operate on a skeleton schedule on the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, November 29). What this means
is that staff may work with their departments to take this time off by working a flexible schedule and making up the
time at any time prior to the Thanksgiving holiday break. Staff wishing to work on this day may do so by advising
their departments.

Jewish Holiday Observances

The schedule below lists the days on which the Jewish holidays for 2024 will fall. All Central Administration
offices will be closed on those holidays falling on a weekday and employees in Central Administration departments
are granted excused time off and are not eligible for additional personal days at any other time during the year.
Employees in all other departments who wish to take time off for the Jewish holidays may, with approval of their
supervisor, charge the time to accrued personal or vacation days.

*Please note that on the eves of Passover, Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur Central Administration offices will close at 3:00 p.m.
