II- Body
1. Definition
 ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot (a chatbot is a computer
program that simulates human conversation with an end user.
 ChatGPT is a form of generative AI -- a tool that lets users enter prompts
to receive humanlike images, text or videos that are created by AI.
 ChatGPT is similar to the automated chat services found on customer
service websites, as people can ask it questions or request clarification to
ChatGPT's replies.
 The GPT stands for "Generative Pre-trained Transformer," which refers to
how ChatGPT processes requests and formulates responses.
 ChatGPT is trained with reinforcement learning through human feedback
and reward models that rank the best responses. This feedback helps
augment ChatGPT with machine learning to improve future responses.
b. Who created ChatGPT?
OpenAI -- an artificial intelligence research company -- created ChatGPT
and launched the tool in November 2022 – A year which Covid 19 was
still happening in our society à Chat GPT turned into a study tool not
only for students but also the teacher during the lockdown.
It was founded by a group of entrepreneurs and researchers including
Elon Musk and Sam Altman in 2015.
c.How to use Chat GPT in Vietnam
 Use a third application to change the IP address to ChatGPT available
countries and rent a foreign phone number to register, from which you can
register an account to access. (America, England, France, Germany,…)
 Initially, Vietnam is among one of those countries that are restricted from
using OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT. , therefore, users in Vietnam will see
an error “OpenAI unavailable in your country” every time they try to
access ChatGPT. This causes a lot of troubles for many users, especially
Vietnamese users.
 February 2023: ChatGPT Plus was available in Vietnam
2. Chat GPT’s functions
After launching in late 2022, Chat GPT has become all the rage. Using the
cutting-edge artificial intelligent chatbot, you can do everything that you
couldn’t imagine.
 Speedy response
Chat GPT has been praised by many for its ability to understand complex
conversations and answer questions. In addition, it has seen a surge in popularity
due to its natural conversational language and its ability to provide detailed
information quickly. So, many people will wonder :” Are Chat GPT’s responses
accurate?”. Chat GPT’s functions are based on complex algorithms and
language models that have been trained on vast amounts of data.
 The ability to synthesize
Chat GPT synthesizes information from countless different sources and digs
deep to find out many meanings from that information. GPT Chat is considered
one of the most advanced language models today with the ability to
automatically learn and work with large types of data.
 Reduce the workload
Chat GPT is capable of doing tasks such as: text summarization, text
classification, paraphrasing, spell and grammar checking, content
recommendation. These functions help office staff and students to solve difficult
issues, save time and improve work efficiency. For example, when you
encounter a difficult exercise, by Chat GPT’s vast knowledge base and ability to
provide instant answers to questions, Chat GPT will find the solutions and
detailed instructions for it.
 Chat GPT is able to understand and show emotions
ChatGPT, an AI chatbot, has demonstrated a significant ability to understand
and express emotions, outperforming the general population in Emotional
Awareness tests. The AI’s performance improved significantly over a month,
nearly reaching the maximum possible score on the Level of Emotional
Awareness Scale.
 The ability to interact
You can now speak aloud to ChatGPT and hear the artificial intelligence-
powered chatbot talk back. ChatGPT’s voice capability is “powered by a new
text-to-speech model, capable of generating human-like audio from just text and
a few seconds of sample speech,” Open AI said in the blogpost.

 Compare Chat GPT and Google.
 Ever since its release in late November 2022, ChatGPT has taken the
world by storm; from garnering over 1 million users in its first week to
putting Google in an existential crisis. However currently, Chat GPT has
faded and people are starting to care less about it.
So, is there any chance for ChatGPT to be a threat to Google? Can ChatGPT
someday replace Google?
 While Google is pretty easy to use, ChatGPT takes the cake. Though
Google offers unlimited answers to your query, it is still limited by the
information available on the web pages. Whereas ChatGPT can tailor the
information precisely to your requirements.
 Google has ruled the world for about two decades, obviously, it has the
upper hand over a technology that’s not even in the toddler stage.
ChatGPT has the bare bones and capability to rule, but it still has to learn,
develop, and adapt a lot to reach that level.
 To say if there is a likelihood that Chat GPT can beat Google in the future
or not is still vague. Our guess is that both will coexist, eventually making
our life easier.

3. Drawbacks
No matter how great this tool is, it still has many disadvantages. And here they
are:
 Inaccuracies and Ambiguities
One of the biggest criticisms and limitations of ChatGPT is that it sometimes
tends to produce texts that sound plausible or convincing but are incorrect or
nonsensical under the surface. Furthermore, when it comes to obtaining
information, it does not provide references or citations.
 Obstacles to creativity
Using GPT Chat can reduce people's creativity because they may become too
dependent on computers to solve problems. When people become too dependent
on it, their inherent thinking will be reduced. Instead of relying on it to create,
lazy people use its entire text as a document. This is truly reprehensible and also
unimaginably reduces the user's thinking.
 Limited Knowledge of Recent Events
The version launched in November 2022 can only provide information about
events occurring in 2021 and earlier. It will soon provide more recent events as
it continues to feed on data based on human-generated texts. Nevertheless,
considering this drawback, users should keep in mind that it has limited
knowledge of facts because it uses datasets that are not updated.
 Untrustworthy friend
While many people use them to search for information on the Internet or do
homework, some people use ChatGPT as a place for psychological treatment.
Because they think ChatGPT knows how to listen, encourage, doesn't judge and
is always there when you need it. They often rely on psychologically
manipulative, highly convincing answers on the Internet rather than following
formal treatment steps. In fact, not being programmed according to treatment
principles and theories as well as ethics and culture makes these chatbots even
more dangerous with inaccurate advice but still convincing listeners.
A man in Belgium reportedly committed suicide after chatting with an artificial
intelligence chatbot about climate change.Accordingly, the machine encouraged
a man to commit suicide to solve the problem of global warming.
 Might be replaced in future
I want to take an example to compare. We all know the existence of Yahoo in
the past. But the emergence and explosion of Twitter and Facebook has made
that existence fade and gradually disappear. And maybe that will happen with
ChatGPt too. Because we recently found information that Apple is said to be
developing a chatbot called "Apple GPT" or "Ajax" to compete with today's
leading products such as ChatGPT. Ajax was created last year. Ajax is currently
being used to create large language models and serves as the foundation for
Apple
GPT chatbots.
According to sources, the company aims to make its AI efforts public next year.

4. The influence of Chat GPT on the job market

Intro: Insider online news talked to experts and conducted research to compile a
list of jobs that are at highest-risk for replacement by AI including Tech jobs
(Coders, computer programmers, software engineers, data analysts), Media jobs
(advertising, content creation, technical writing, journalism), Legal industry
jobs, Market research analysts, Education sector (Teachers, tutors), Translator,

A- Possibility for Chat GPT on job market

 As many as 300 million full-time jobs around the world could be

automated in some way by the newest wave of artificial intelligence that
has spawned platforms like ChatGPT, according to a CNN’s economist.
They predicted in a report Sunday that 18% of work globally could be
computerized, with the effects felt more deeply in advanced economies
than emerging markets.

 ChatGPT impact on jobs: 26% of employers plan job cuts due to

ChatGPT
According to Datahub study, 23% of employees working in software
engineering and tech industry are worried about their job opportunities because
of language models like ChatGPT. Maybe they should be, as 26% of employers
in the same industry are thinking about reducing headcount as a direct result

Millennials in both tech and finance are more likely to worry about the impact of
ChatGPT on workplace
Across all sectors, millennials are 43% more worried about job cuts in their
industry, however, the number significantly increases when it comes to those
working in software and tech.

Within the industry however, most millennials that fear these job cuts imagine
AI tools like ChatGPT being used mostly for writing purposes rather than
coding and data entry, such as marketing copy (50%), and answering customers

(35%)
B- Look into 2 particular fields
1. Education sector
Teachers are the second most prominent category who are affected by ChatGPT
in recent times. Artificial Intelligence-based technologies have changed the way
teachers handle their work.
How can ChatGPT Impact Teaching Jobs?
1. When ChatGPT became popular, teachers were plagued with another
problem. Students started using the chatbot to understand concepts, solve
homework, and write essays. It looked like the role of a teacher had
suddenly become redundant.
2. Many teachers in India worked as tutors to help students with homework
in the quarantine period in Covid 19. But now their services may not be
required in the future as ChatGPT could be used to assist students with
homework.
 So, it is clear that within less than five years, the community of teachers
has found themselves in a perplexing situation.
2. Interpreters
The integration of ChatGPT into the translation industry has the potential to
revolutionize the way we translate languages, offering several advantages over
traditional methods of translation.
 Increased Efficiency and Speed
ChatGPT is able to process large amounts of text quickly and accurately,
reducing the time required for manual translation. This increased speed
can result in more projects being completed in a shorter time frame and
can help meet tight deadlines.
 Improved Accuracy
ChatGPT uses advanced algorithms and machine learning techniques to
analyze and translate text, which can result in higher levels of accuracy
compared to manual translation. This can be particularly useful in
technical or specialized areas where a high level of accuracy is critical.
 Cost Savings
ChatGPT can automate many of the manual processes involved in
translation, reducing the need for human labor. This can lead to
significant cost savings for companies and organizations who rely on
language translation services.
 Saying Chat GPT is going to replace these two fields is uncertain.
III. Conclusion
A- Review main point
1. Definition and functions of Chat GPT
2. Chat GPT’s Benefits
3. Chat GPT’s drawbacks
4. The possibility of Chat GPT’s impact on the job market
B- Restate statement
From the four main points we have gone through, it is evident that Chat GPT has
played an important role in our daily modern life, yet it still cannot substitute
humanity for any of jobs.
C- Closure:
It is undeniable that Chat GPT brings many values and advantages to human’s
life, however, to let it replace humans completely is far from a disaster.
Therefore, the best way is to utilize the AI chatbot as a tool for human to operate
the tool and its capabilities and evolve within our roles. Organizations are profit-
driven and will look to optimize their profits. But we need to upskill and harness
unique human talents to the maximum and find ways to evolve and improve our
value proposition.
