REVIEWS
don’t then someone else will at your expense and many of the characters in the book find out just that. The dark
overtone in this book is a part of the characters identity so it works. It has a necessary role and makes the book that
much more interesting. Bardugo does a fabulous job with characters that leap from the pages and mirror feelings we
all have felt: the confusion of love, honor to our country, and betrayal. These characters cover all ranges of emotions
and Bardugo’s weaving together their personal stories with the overall plot is brilliantly done. Each character was
unique and they all were interesting in their own way. They all managed to make me emotional and to make me
laugh. I felt the whole time like I know them and they still managed to surprise me.
I got to learn each characters stories through a lot of flashbacks and I really liked all the characters
and was happy to learn more about their past. Each characters past was a mixture of motivation, hope, worries and
fears. Plus all their past stories were really interesting and it helped a lot to learn about the character perspectives. But
there was one thing bothered me a lot there was every character pov in the book except Wylan Van Eck. It literally so
disappointing for me because it was the only character with whom I was able to correlate. Apart from this I loved
both girls of the crew Inej and Nina very much. They both were beautiful and feminine but they were also strong and
a big deal. They never trying too hard to prove themselves or to be one of boys.Yet,they both were absolutely
irreplaceable parts of the crew.
All the main six characters were teens but still they were not afraid to be mean, selfish and ruthless especially Kaz .I was
very much aware the whole time that these were not kind of people I would want myself around. These characters
were brought and trapped in Ketterdam by war, slave trade, death, addiction and despair. They had to become what
they are in order to survive the Barrel, which is a kill-or-get-killed part of Ketterdam.
So, they kill, they steal, they swindle and sneak; in hopes that one day it will all pay off to get them out of the Barrel
(or revenge, if you're ole Dirtyhands). At last Six of Crows is a classical heist story you have bunch of thieves who hold
an individual importance. They live in a dark and unforgiving world.
Mansi's Review
Six of crows, tells the story of a crew of teens trying to pull off a seemigly impossible heist. Set
in the fictional Grishaverse, the story takes place in a city called ketterdam, home to all sorts of
people: criminal, business man, refugees and grisha, people with the ability to manipulate
types of matter. Kaz brekker also known as "dirty hands" a young criminal prodigy, gathers a
crew of five uniquely skilled teens to break into an impenetrable fortress known as the Ice
court. The fortress holds a scientist who resently created a drug that amplifies the power of
Grisha , but it is also highly addictive. With the chance to get wealthy beyond thier wildest
dreams, the crew takes on a deadly task of rescuing the scientist and getting him back to their
buyer. If they want to make it out alive they must adapt to the Ice Court as well as each other.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and entertaining read. But
the book is not all action-packed fighting scenes and deadly situations. It also includes heart-
wrenching backstories, amazing friendships, and even a little bit of romance. Though the first
few chapters seem like a whirlwind of new terms, it is not very difficult to grasp the magical
world that Bardugo creates. Each of the six characters is incredibly unique and complex, and
every backstory is carefully blended into the events of the novel. The book is well-written and
keeps the reader hooked with increasingly unbelievable plot twists. If you like fantasy,
dangerous heists, or just teenagers trying to get rich, Six of Crows could be the book for you.
HEMLATA'S REVIEW
"Six of Crows" is a book that I absolutely loved. Leigh Bardugo has created an incredibly rich and vivid
world, and I found myself completely immersed in the story from the very first page. The book follows a
group of six outcasts and criminals who come together for a daring heist that could make them all rich
beyond their wildest dreams. What I appreciated most about the novel was the way it explored themes of
loyalty, friendship, and the power of redemption. The characters are all so well-drawn and complex, and I
loved the way their individual stories wove together to create a larger narrative. The pacing of the book is
fantastic, with plenty of action and suspense to keep you turning the pages. Overall, "Six of Crows" is a book
that I would highly recommend to anyone who loves a good heist story or is looking for a compelling
fantasy read. This book jus has it all. Whether it be fantasy, crime , mystery or romance. It was my first book
by Leigh Bardugo and i absolutely loved it. It really is a heart wrenching novel. The fact that she shows the
story from the perspective of all six characters and tells their personal stories too is amazing. Although this
book is manly based on a heist but the way we also get to know about each and every character is awesome.
And the fact that so much is going on in this novel, but it does not feel chaotic or difficult to understand at
all. I really really adore this book and I'm eagerly looking forward to read the second book
RIHANSHI 'S
"Six of Crows" by Leigh Bardugo is a thrilling masterpiece that seamlessly weaves together elements of fantasy,
REVIEW heist, and complex character dynamics. Set in the dark and gritty city of Ketterdam, the novel follows a diverse
group of six outcasts as they embark on an impossible mission to infiltrate the impenetrable Ice Court and retrieve
a valuable hostage.
Bardugo's storytelling is nothing short of captivating. The intricate plot is filled with unexpected twists and turns,
keeping readers on the edge of their seats. Each member of the crew brings a unique set of skills and a complex
backstory, making them both relatable and compelling. The author masterfully explores themes of loyalty, trust,
and the struggle for redemption, adding layers of depth to the narrative. What sets "Six of Crows" apart is its
character-drivennarrative. The chemistry among the six main characters ispalpable, and their individual growth
arcs are expertlydeveloped. The witty dialogue and banter provide moments of levity amidst the tension, making
the book a thoroughly enjoyable read.In conclusion, "Six of Crows" is a must-read for fans of fantasy and heist
genres. Bardugo's skillful storytelling, well- developed characters, and immersive world-building make this novel a
standout in the young adult fiction landscape. Whether you're a seasoned fantasy reader or new to the genre, this
book offers a gripping and unforgettable experience.
If you like good character work, morally grey characters and if you don't mind a slow beginning and then a good
payoff at the end I think you'll really enjoy this but if you're somebody who hates flashback sequences and you just
don't care that much about taking the time to get to know the characters, you just want to get to the action you
might get bored with this book. But, personally I really enjoyed this book.
Khushwant's Review
I was pretty hesitant reading this book, it was my first ever Leigh Bardugo book and the first
fantasy book i've ever read. I heard people say so many good things about it and I couldn't help
but get curious myself, and I read it. I do agree with the people saying the first 80 pages are
pretty boring, because they are.I started getting more interested from chapter 5, which took a
long time to get to because my brain just couldn't seem to process anything, but after I read
chapter 5 it started getting to me and I don't regret it, never will. It's till this day my favorite
book and I'll recommend it to everyone! The plot was amazing, we had a hint of romance, and
the fact that it's multi-pov's just makes it better. We're not only focusing on one character but
all six of them, so we can know how they felt in every moment.
