issue : Child labour
Rq:Do child labour be safe while doing work

Introduction: The term "child labor" describes the employment of

minors in any job that robs them of their youth, prevents them from
attending a regular school, or is otherwise damaging and dangerous
to their mental, physical, social, or moral development. These kids
face health hazards and lack access to educational opportunities.
Since it denies children an education and forces them into exploitative
settings, child labor can be considered open exploitation. Young
people who work run the risk of developing occupational illnesses
such as skin diseases, lung diseases, and vision problems.

Causes:Children labor because it is necessary for their survival and

the survival of their families, and frequently because dishonest adults
take advantage of their weakness. It is also a result of shortcomings
and inadequacies in national education systems. It is profoundly
embedded in social and cultural customs and attitudes.Without a
doubt, the biggest factor pushing kids into the workforce is poverty. It
is believed that a child's ability to support themselves or their family
depends on the money they earn from their labor. The families
themselves play a significant role. Many children undertake unpaid
jobs in family businesses that rely on labor from family members to
exist, such as farms and unofficial workshops.

Consequences:The consequences are extraordinary. Child labor

can lead to severe physical and psychological trauma, as well as
death. Slavery and economic or sexual exploitation may result from it.
Furthermore, it restricts children's access to health care and education
in almost all cases, which violates their fundamental rights.Child labor
can cause serious mental and physical injuries, as well as potentially
death. It may result in economic as well as slavery. Furthermore, it
restricts children's fundamental rights by keeping them out of school
and out of the medical system in almost all cases.Slavery and
economic or sexual exploitation may result from it. Furthermore, it
restricts children's access to health care and education in almost all
cases, which violates their fundamental rights.

Global perspective:Since 2016, the number of children between

the ages of 5 and 17 who work in hazardous jobs, which are defined
as jobs that could endanger their health, safety, or morals, has
increased by 6.5 million to 79 million. The most recent figures from
around the world show that there are 160 million children working as
minors globally, an increase of 8.4 million over the previous four
years. In the beginning of 2020, 97 million boys and 63 million girls
worked as children worldwide, making up about one in ten of all
children.Laws protecting the rights of young people worldwide provide
them protection from harm, education, safety, a say in choices
affecting them, and space and time for play.

national perspective:India is a well-known peninsular nation

worldwide. The world's highest rate of child labor is found in India. It
was estimated at 13.65 million in the 1981 census, and at 17.02
million in the 43rd round of the National Sample Survey. Just 11 states
account for the majority of child laborers—more than 90% of
them.Nation-state economies are at risk due to the ongoing practice of
child labor and exploitation, which also has grave short- and long-term
effects on children, including loss of education and damage to
physical and mental health.
