Allow pupils time to discuss their ideas with their talk partner(s) then collect responses. PRE-LESSON Discuss the questions. (Student’s book p22 Activity A) 1) Draw pupils' attention to the main picture on the page and ask them to tell you what they can see (a man in a glass box hanging from a crane with people watching from below). Ask pupils to guess why he might be doing this (to raise money for charity), if they find it unusual, etc. and elicit answers. Ask pupils to read through the text and underline any unknown words at the same time. Ask pupils the question in the rubric and elicit an answer. POST-LESSON Encourage pupils to use their imaginations to come up with some unusual ideas. When ready, collect responses.
