B. Abstract
This research aims to study about the factors that influences the teenagers influence on peer
pressure in decision-making. The researchers come up with this topic to be able to identify
the effects of peer pressure and the influence of it on the teenagers mental health. The Data
will be collected from selective Grade 10 Students of Dr. Juan G. Nolasco High school
regarding the Investigating the influence of peer pressure among decision making. This study
will use surveys, interviews, and examination scores to evaluate the impact of peer pressure
in decision making among the students of Dr. Juan G. Nolasco High school The Researchers
come up with this topic to acknowledge the pressure that is affecting the Students mental
health.
C. Introduction:
Peer pressure can be advantageous or disadvantageous. Finding the ideal balance between
being yourself and fitting in with your group is key to effectively navigating peer
pressure.Peer pressure or influence is when you do something because you want to feel
accepted and valued by your friends. In this study we aim to investigate the factors that could
affect the influence of peer pressure on decision making among teenagers.
Based on the study of Quara “It’s hard to resist your friends when everyone is doing
it, except you. You’re afraid that if you don’t do as what they’ve wanted you to do, you’ll be
left out. You want to be accepted by other people and the only way for it to happen is to
follow what they do.” Research by Very well mind (2022) In this study it explains how the
students thinks and how it affects their mental health when dealing with the pressure.
The answer on the comment shows what are the thoughts of teenagers when it comes
on their decision making. This study will gain more knowledge amongst teenagers who are
not aware of being a victim of a peer pressure on decision-making. We decided to conduct
this research to gain more knowledge and awareness amongst teenagers when in comes to
decision making, it also gives an opportunity to able to show the teenagers to be more careful
about choosing their peers and getting along into right society.
Peer review is a promising strategy to involve learners to study actively and improve
academic success significantly. Hence, the researcher sought to answer the following
research questions:
1. Does peer pressuring effect your decision making?
2. Does peer pressuring effect your academic performance?
3. Do you think decision making is high factor in your life ?
Methods
In methods, we will discuss what methods we should use to gather the information needed to
conduct this topic about peer pressuring on decision making Firstly, we will make a draft of a
questionnaire, and then we will create a Google Form that will be given to the high school
students to gather their own perspectives, opinions, and experiences. We will just use a
simpling technique After the survey questions that we conduct, we will synthesize their
answers to get the answers and information that we need for our study.
Results
Preliminary findings indicate that peer pressured among High School Students is
affected in decision, over 66.7% Students answered that In methods, we will discuss what
methods we should use to gather the information needed to conduct this topic about peer

Based on the survey over 66.7% of the students are affected in peer pressure in decision
making, and thinks that pressure have a positive and negative impact in their mental health.
And 80% feel pressured in decision making beyond that, they can be undecided in their
decisions in life that may affect to their well being. While 60% agree that they’re affecting
when they are in new or other people. In that matter this may cause to pressure them to make
a decisions that may like it or not. Majority of the results in the surveys has a negative impact
on the students mental health, over 80% of the students believed that peer pressure in
decision making have a influence in social settings, this guide the students to think negatively
since it has not been acknowledge, to add on over 73.3% of the students expects that having
self confidence can avoid or lessen the pressure when they are with their friends. 80% of the
students consider that they feel more pressure when they are with their friends when making
decision this led the students to be more anxious and overwhelmed in the situation. In
summary peer pressure in decision making have a negative impact towards the students, and
it has been affecting their mental health, as well their decision.
Discussion:
The findings of this study is peer pressure influence on decision making. Peer pressure has a
advantages and disadvantages in our lives. it may affect the Students decision to be with you
in your daily life. This can encourage individuals to engage in risky or harmful behaviors this
could include experimenting with drugs or alcohol, engaging in dangerous activities, or
disregarding safety precautions to fit in with a peer group. The influence of peer pressure on
decision-making can have long-term consequences for health, relationships, academic
performance , and overall well-being. Decisions made under the influence of peer pressure
may not align with individuals' long-term goals or values, leading to feelings of regret or
dissatisfaction.
Conclusion:
The study on peer pressure on decision-making among Grade 10 students reveals that it
significantly influences adolescents' decisions, often leading to conformity with group norms.
Factors like personality traits, interpersonal relationships, and peer support can amplify or
moderate the impact of peer pressure. Interventions aimed at empowering students to resist
negative peer pressure and make informed decisions are crucial. The study emphasizes the
importance of promoting healthy decision-making skills and peer relationships in adolescent
development, and calls for further research to explore additional factors influencing peer
pressure susceptibility.
