Philippine Theatre and

Performing Groups

The performing arts are arts such as music, dance and drama which are
performed for the audiences. Thus, theatre, music, dance, and object manipulation,
and other kinds of performances are present in all human cultures and these often
aim to express one’s emotions and feelings. These cultures were observed and
played for entertainment or educational purposes.
Moreover, stage plays, school plays, dramas, and other forms of arts offer us
opportunities to express ourselves and to showcase our talents and strengths.
Participating in any of these different forms of arts may even turn your weaknesses
into strengths.

Before planning a show, we have consider our audiences because they are the
priority in staging a production. Therefore, it is important to observe and identify their
interests and their needs in order to satisfy them.
As one of the audiences, which between the two pictures is more interesting
for you? Why?
