PRIDE AND PREJUDICE BY JANE AUSTEN BOOK REVIEW

GIST OF THE
STORY
The book tells the story of Elizabeth Bennet, a spirited young
woman in 19th century England. When wealthy Mr. Bingley and his
friend Mr. Darcy move into the neighborhood, Elizabeth's family
hopes for advantageous marriages. Jane, Elizabeth’s sister, fell in
love with Mr. Bingley and both hit off. However, Elizabeth clashes
with Mr. Darcy's pride, saying that Elizabeth was not worthy to be
danced with and was not “handsome” enough. Misunderstandings
and societal pressures complicate their relationship. Mr. Bingley
moves back to another city leaving Jane heartbroken. This led to
Elizabeth having misunderstandings and having more rage towards
Mr. Darcy but as they navigate these obstacles, their true feelings
emerge. Overcoming prejudices and misunderstandings, Elizabeth
and Mr. Darcy find love and happiness together, culminating in their
engagement.

THE REASON WHY I

PICKED THE BOOK
The title immediately intrigued me, and as I began
reading, I quickly connected with and admired Elizabeth
for her unwavering authenticity. I was particularly drawn
to the dynamic between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy, which
follows the compelling enemies-to-lovers trope. Despite
my usual dislike of miscommunication in literature, I
found myself eagerly delving deeper into their story,
craving more insight into their relationship. In fact, I was
so captivated that I read all 61 chapters with enthusiasm
and affection. This book held a special place in my heart,
as it surprised me not only by capturing my full attention
for this specific activity but also by genuinely piquing my
interest in its plot.
