INTRODUCTION: A cat is a wonderful animal, and it’s a good idea to adopt one. However, adopting an animal can be quite stressful because you have to change your lifestyle. You will need to get used to the idea of having another living creature in your home. There are many things that you should know about adopting a cat before you bring one home. The first thing that you should know about adopting a cat is that cats are independent animals and they don’t like being dependent on humans. They want their freedom and they won’t appreciate it if you try to.
ACCOMPLISHMENT: The joy of adopting a cat can be an incredible experience. It is not only a chance to add an animal to your family, but also an opportunity to provide a loving home to a pet in need. An accomplishment in adopting a cat can result in a unique bond between the two of you and an immense sense of fulfillment. From the simple pleasure of seeing a happy animal, to providing unconditional love and care, there is something special to be had when adopting a cat. Rescuing a cat can have a significant and positive impact on a person's life. According to E Zuckerman, author of the book From Voice to Influence: Understanding Citizenship in the Digital Age, cats have the potential to teach us about civic engagement, media and political expression (2014).

REFLECTIONS: In my experience, when we were doing this project, I noticed a lot of things. As we have good memories, we help even in small things, and we learn from our experiences. Not only that, we meet other people, and we get to go to different parts of San Isidro. But one thing that I couldn't forget, the fact that we're saving a life and that's our true mission. And we are grateful because we were given this project, even though we are struggling, we are happy with what we are doing.

I learned in our project adopting a stray cat is to save the street cats because they also have life and are a work of God. This project of ours is an example for us young people to save the cats especially they live on the street. It is a good example for future generations. I've learned in this advocacy activity is on how to appreciate those
stray cats. The benefits of stray cats, that when you are going thru your ups and down’s they're on your side. We can relax with their cuddle's, it's like anti stress for a human. They claiming the negativity in our body when they're coming to you. And I've learnt on how to not give physical bully to those cats who needed a home and owner. -Beatriz D. Pena
