Thus the equation is exact, and so the criterion suggests that there exists a function f (x, y)
such that

Formula for solving EXACT equations
∫ 𝑴 𝒅𝒙 + ∫(𝑻𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒙) 𝒅𝒚 = 𝒄
Example 1:
∫ 𝑴 𝒅𝒙 + ∫(𝑻𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒙) 𝒅𝒚 = 𝒄
∫ 2𝑥𝑦 𝑑𝑥 + ∫(−1) 𝑑𝑦 = 𝑐
𝑥 2 𝑦 − 𝑦 = 𝑐.
Example 2:
∫ 𝑴 𝒅𝒙 + ∫(𝑻𝒆𝒓𝒎𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑵 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒙) 𝒅𝒚 = 𝒄
∫(𝑒 2𝑦 − 𝑦𝑐𝑜𝑠𝑥𝑦) 𝑑𝑥 + ∫(2𝑦) 𝑑𝑦 = 𝑐
𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑥𝑦
𝑥𝑒 2𝑦 − 𝑦 + 𝑦2 = 𝑐
𝑦
𝑥𝑒 2𝑦 − 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑥𝑦 + 𝑦 2 = 𝑐.
