Business
A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Enjoy life and make money writing
about what you love.
The
Hey, I’m Nik Huno.
Guide
I guide spiritually-minded entrepreneurs to inner wisdom through
presence — so they can maximize both profit and purpose.
But beneath the fancy dinners and hotels, I felt empty, lost, and
confused.
At work one morning, a panic attack struck. I burst into tears, the final
red flag. I had to change my life — now or never.
Below you will find the the 12-step in-depth blueprint I have
developed for you to make money from writing about what you love.
Do you feel the call to share your wisdom but find yourself lost amidst
the noise?
1.
Realize that
spirituality and
entrepreneurship
are interconnected.
INTERCONNECTEDNESS @NIKHUNO
You are an aperture through which the
universe is looking at and exploring
itself.
— Alan Watts
First of all, forget the notion that spirituality and entrepreneurship are non-compatible.
Certain spiritual traditions tend to reject the material world as something to be left
behind and treat any intention to earn as greed and avarice.
Spirituality is about looking past and beyond your human conditioning to realize your
connection to something greater.
Entrepreneurship is about going past and beyond your conditioning of being a cog in a
given system —
to realize your purpose through creating something new and building something greater
than yourself.
@NIKHUNO
Entrepreneurship is a vehicle for spiritual development — especially solopreneurship.
Content creation can serve as a gateway to raise consciousness, heal, and liberate.
It’s a vehicle that can be used to share wisdom and ideas that can awaken others and
help them on the path to self-actualization.
As you grow on your spiritual path, you begin to transcend your previously imposed
limitations of who you are and what defines you.
The idea of being a polymath is not just about having varied interests.
It's about seeing the interconnectedness between seemingly different fields. It's about
understanding the underlying unity behind all knowledge.
@NIKHUNO
THE 12-STEP BLUEPRINT FOR BUILDING A SPIRITUAL CONTENT BUSINESS
2.
Understand yourself
deeply.
SELF-KNOWLEDGE @NIKHUNO
Until you make the unconscious
conscious, it will direct your life and you
will call it fate.
— Carl Jung
True entrepreneurship is not just about external creation but also about the internal
journey.
As you are already on a spiritual path, you have gained some self-knowledge and self-
understanding through introspection, meditation, and contemplation.
Become aware of the driving forces behind your decision to pursue content
entrepreneurship and choose your intention consciously.
What do you want to bring into this world?
What can you talk about for more than 30 minutes without any preparation?
@NIKHUNO
If you can't find a topic look at:
your bookshelf
podcasts you listen to
your bookmarks
what you talk about with friends
your youtube recommendations
You need to know your “zone of genius” — the intersection of your innate talents and
passions where you perform at your highest potential with ease and joy.
Here are some questions to help you find your zone of genius:
What activities make you lose track of time when you're engaged in them?
After which activities do you feel energized, rather than drained?
What tasks or projects do you find effortlessly easy, while others might struggle
with?
You find it through doing, through taking action, through interacting with the real world.
In fact, you are already doing something out of your Zone of Genius.
You might just not realize it — because it seems so simple and easy to you.
It might be the same or similar personality type (look up the Myers-Briggs personality
framework or the Enneagram).
They are interested in similar topics and have similar problems. Someone who is not as
far as you are on the journey. This way you can add value to their life.
Quick tip:
Act quickly and test your ideas. Instead of overthinking, take small steps.
Don’t just imagine whether you would be interested in doing something. Just do it and
observe how you feel.
@NIKHUNO

3.
Overcome fear,
master courage.
COURAGE @NIKHUNO
Remembering that you are going to die is
the best way I know to avoid the trap of
thinking you have something to lose.
— Steve Jobs
People often say phrases such as:
Many people dream about quitting their 9-5, pursuing their dreams, building a business.
And yet they don’t act.
Why?
If you practice meditation, you are probably aware by now that fear, like any other
emotion, is simply a sensation in the body.
As you learn to be present with discomfort and stay centered — you become free.
Free to choose how you respond and how you act despite any emotion.
In terms of the psyche, it is the part of you that is scared, frightened, afraid.
The root of the word courage is cor — the Latin word for heart.
One of the early meanings was “to speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart.”
It is about listening to your heart, not your mind. The mind is simply there to support the
telling of the heart.
Following what matters to you at a deeper level is your light in the darkness.
What is so important to you that you are ready to act despite the fear?
Remember, at the end of the day, you are not doing this for yourself.
Wouldn’t it be a shame if your kept all your gifts and offerings to yourself and the world
would never benefit from them?

4.
INTUITION @NIKHUNO
Follow your bliss and the universe will
open doors where there were only walls.
— Joseph Campbell
In the realm of business, especially in the spiritual content domain, intuition plays a
pivotal role.
It's that inner voice, a gut feeling, or a sudden insight that often leads to breakthroughs,
innovative ideas, and authentic connections.
Steve Jobs, who was deeply influenced by Zen Buddhism, was a strong advocate for
intuition.
He once remarked:
Jobs believed that our modern education system, with its emphasis on analytical
thinking, often sidelines intuition.
For Jobs, intuition was about connecting the dots, but not by logical progression.
Instead, it was about foreseeing where the next dot would be.
Reading People: Whether it's hiring the right team members, collaborating with
partners, or understanding customer needs, intuition can provide insights that data
might miss.
@NIKHUNO
Foreseeing Trends: In a rapidly changing world, intuition can guide you to anticipate
market shifts and customer preferences before they become apparent.
Risk-taking: Every entrepreneurial journey involves risks. Intuition can guide you on
when to take the leap and when to be cautious.
Novelty: Intuitive insights often lead to out-of-the-box ideas, setting you apart from
the competition.
There are different ways to develop your intuition, but at the basis of it — it is being
present.
If you are present and have a clear mind, it is easier to hear your inner voice, to pick up
subtle insights and feelings.

5.
Find a problem.
DISCOVERY @NIKHUNO
"The best way to become a billionaire is
to help a billion people.
— Naval Ravikant
Now that you have defined your topic, your strengths and your ideal audience:
The mistake is to create a product or service and then to try to find a problem for it.
I have created a dozen offers before imagining the people would need it — just to
realize no one cared.
First, you find a problem — and then you come up with a solution.
Because we are talking about content business, the problem is generally a question.
It is a need for specific information and knowledge.
“How do I ensure I don't burn out, especially when the online world can be so
demanding and energy-draining?”
There are three main evergreen areas of personal problems or the TripleW
@NIKHUNO
How do you find a problem?
Roelof Botha, partner at Sequoia (a venture capital firm), says that one of the best ways
to evaluate the potential of a startup is Founder-Problem Fit.
FPF is the alignment between a founder's personal experience or passion and the
specific problem their business aims to solve.
If you care a lot about solving this problem, you are likely to succeed.
It’s better if you resonate with the problem yourself as you will understand it more
deeply — but make sure you validate others having the same or similar problem.
Try to listen to what they’re struggling with. Ask them about their workflows, how they
approach things. Read the comments under the posts of creators in the same space as
you.
You will begin to notice patterns — take note. It won’t be immediately obvious.
Quick tip:

6.
SYNTHESIS @NIKHUNO
I would rather have questions that can't
be answered than answers that can't be
questioned.
— Richard Feynman
This is the fun part.
Contrary to what you might think, you don’t have to be an expert in order to help people
with this problem.
Being a beginner allows you to embody the Zen concept of "shoshin" or "beginner's
mind".
You have a fresh perspective that encourages openness and a lack of preconceptions.
If you want to master something — teach it.
@NIKHUNO
Don’t underestimate the value of your personal experience — this is your richest and
most important database.
Generally, as I see it, there are three main value propositions that people can provide:
Information
Transformation
Connection
Information might aid in improving aspects like personal growth, business, skills, health,
or relationships.
People often chase temporary fixes to perceived problems, constantly evolving their
problem-solving approach.
Yet, diving deeper can unveil the underlying nuances and challenges, offering a path to
inner peace that's neither linear nor easily packaged.
The creator economy seemingly prioritizes material success, but there's so much more
beneath the surface.
In this system, people often pay for perceived knowledge or transformation from those
viewed as "ahead."
But real progress isn't about advancing past others—it's about sharing insights that help
everyone grow.
How can those with genuine wisdom effectively convey their value?
People perceive values in the context of their personal goals, but it’s relative.
@NIKHUNO
Even when goals are achieved, a new one emerges, reflecting perhaps our intrinsic
human nature of always wanting more.
Can we guide people towards deeper needs they might be unaware of?
The ultimate aim of teaching, for me, is fostering sovereignty: empowering individuals to
tap into their inner voice and think independently.
For example, the goal of psychotherapy isn't to make patients dependent but to help
them grow and eventually step out confidently.
I believe the most profound educational gift is helping others attain sovereignty.
Your unique solution to the problem will be your USP — a unique selling proposition.
@NIKHUNO

7.
MASTERY @NIKHUNO
Your work is going to fill a large part of
your life, and the only way to be truly
satisfied is to do what you believe is
great work. And the only way to do great
work is to love what you do.
— Steve Jobs
At the essence, you will need these four skills to build a successful spiritual content
business.
1. Researching
You need to delve into profound ideas and timeless wisdom to create transformative
content.
Absorb insights from thought leaders, but most importantly — integrate findings from
your own explorations into your content and offers.
2. Writing
To touch hearts with your content, your writing must resonate on a deeper level.
To convey the essence of your offerings, your words should weave the tangible with
the intangible, making spiritual concepts relatable and actionable.
To communicate the value of your offer and generate revenue, your writing needs to be
persuasive.
@NIKHUNO
3. Speaking
To nurture and guide your audience, your articulation should echo with authenticity and
depth.
To amplify the unique value of your offerings, your voice must resonate with clarity,
compassion, and conviction.
4. Creating Processes
To ensure a consistent and impactful content output, you need streamlined creation,
publication, and promotion processes. Automation is especially key as it gives you
leverage.
To deepen the essence of your spiritual business, streamlined processes free up more
time for genuine spiritual exploration and richer engagement with your community.
@NIKHUNO
THE 12-STEP BLUEPRINT FOR BUILDING A SPIRITUAL CONTENT BUSINESS
8.
Create meaningful
content.
KNOWLEDGE @NIKHUNO
We're all just walking each other home.
— Ram Dass
Remember, content creation, especially in the spiritual domain, isn't just about growing
followers.
Our words, stories, and even the nuances of our voice can activate profound
awakenings in people's minds and, more importantly, their hearts.
It’s essential to convey often abstract and profound ideas in ways that resonate
universally.
Remember to give GENEROUSLY. Whatever you value you create for others will always
return to you in some way.
One problem I see many spiritual content creators facing — they are not making it
accessible enough.
Whether you recount personal anecdotes, ancient myths, or parables, stories simplify
complex spiritual truths.
You can even make them up yourself — a concept told through a story will always land
better.
Ask questions.
@NIKHUNO
By asking thoughtful questions to your audience, you will serve them even more than by
giving them the answers.
The journey to find an answer will be more transformative than any solution you offer.
Become a collector and curator of ideas and learn to communicate them effectively.
If you are just starting out, one of the best platforms to start building your personal
brand is X (formerly Twitter). Here is why:
With X, you don't need an elaborate setup. A well-crafted, concise post can have a
significant impact. Share your thoughts simply and effectively without the need for
intricate visuals.
2. Instant Engagement:
@NIKHUNO
3. Expand Your Network:
X is frequented by professionals and thought leaders. Engaging with them can bolster
your credibility and introduce you to wider audiences, all while learning from industry
experts.
4. Actionable Feedback:
Use likes, retweets, and comments as a temperature check on your content. X's
analytics offer a clear picture of what resonates with your audience, helping you tweak
and improve your branding approach.
Business, much like a spiritual practice, demands unwavering faith and dedicated
action.
Your spiritual grounding will anchor your faith, but discipline is the key to consistent
action.
Quick tip:
Consider scheduling tools like Hypefury or TweetHunter to line up your posts.
Batch-create when inspiration strikes and ensure a steady stream of content without
daily pressure.

9.
Build an audience
and community.
CONNECTION @NIKHUNO
Play long-term games with long-term
people.
— Naval Ravikant
The spiritual journey is, at its core, one of unity and interconnection.
You need to surround yourself with people who share your values and resonate with
your vision and mission.
Engage with other spiritual creators on X, fostering mutual growth and widening your
reach.
The more lights that shine, the brighter our collective beacon becomes.
Be of service to others.
@NIKHUNO
Universe has an uncanny way of returning to you the energy you send out.
Consider forming or joining sanctuaries (group chats) where like-minded souls can
exchange wisdom, offer feedback, champion each other, and bask in shared presence.
This digital "Sangha" will be your grounding amidst the ever-shifting sands of online
content creation.
Quick tip:
If you have less than 1,000 followers — the fastest way to grow is to focus on replies
and direct messages.
@NIKHUNO
THE 12-STEP BLUEPRINT FOR BUILDING A SPIRITUAL CONTENT BUSINESS
10.
Launch a
newsletter.
ENGAGEMENT @NIKHUNO
Simple can be harder than complex: You
have to work hard to get your thinking
clean to make it simple.
— Steve Jobs
You don't need a massive following to kick off a newsletter.
It allows you to hone your writing skills and understand your audience's preferences.
And remember, content you produce for your newsletter can easily be repurposed into
tweets or other social media posts.
While platform algorithms, like on X, can change overnight, your email list remains a
constant.
Newsletter is also a great way to promote your own products and services — you can
also monetize it through sponsored content and affiliate partnerships.
@NIKHUNO
THE 12-STEP BLUEPRINT FOR BUILDING A SPIRITUAL CONTENT BUSINESS
11.
Monetize ethically.
VALUE @NIKHUNO
Being the richest man in the cemetery
doesn't matter to me. Going to bed at
night saying we've done something
wonderful, that's what matters to me.
— Steve Jobs
As you have created immense value for others through following steps 1-10, you can
begin to think of ways to capture value through monetization.
It's about creating a balance, so you can continue to provide value while also sustaining
your endeavors.
I recommend you test your ideas before launching into any large-scale production.
The idea is to ensure alignment between what you offer and what your audience
genuinely needs.
For this, you can follow the Minimum Viable Product MVP methodology that startups
use:
1. Ideation:
For example, you feel that in today's high-speed, digital age, people are more stressed
than ever. You hypothesize that "I believe individuals coping with modern-day stress
could find solace through guided meditation sessions."
2. Audience Selection:
Perhaps working professionals aged 25-40, living in urban settings, juggling between
work, family, and personal commitments. These individuals are likely tech-savvy but
also might feel the brunt of the digital overload.
@NIKHUNO
3. Initial Offering:
Craft a basic version of your content or service – this doesn't have to be perfect; it just
needs to convey the essence.
Draft a series of basic 10-minute guided meditation sessions aimed at stress relief,
specifically curated for busy professionals. These could be audio recordings to start
with, allowing your audience to easily integrate them into their daily routines.
Share this prototype with a chosen subset of your audience. Make sure to
communicate that you value their feedback and see them as partners in refining this
solution.
5. Feedback Collection:
After the event, send out a feedback form or even better — conduct one-on-one
interviews. Ask specific questions like, "Did you feel more relaxed after the session?",
"Were there any distractions?", "Was the duration suitable?", etc.
6. Iterative Improvements:
Using the feedback, make necessary changes. Maybe the music was too loud, or
perhaps some found the session too short. Adjust based on this feedback, always
keeping the core idea intact.
7. Scaling:
Once you've refined your guided meditation based on the initial feedback, you can start
producing more content.
8. Monetization Paths:
With a series of guided meditation sessions that have been tried, tested, and loved, you
can explore various monetization methods.
This will depend on the nature of your problem and solution — and also what kind of
strategy you resonate most with personally.
@NIKHUNO
Here is a list of possible monetization strategies.
1. Third-party Promotion
Ads, affiliate marketing, and sponsored content can provide you with resources to
sustain. However, always ensure any promotion aligns with your spiritual ethos.
These external avenues can be a starting point. As you grow, centering your efforts on
your own products and services can be more rewarding, both spiritually and financially.
The benefit of this is you can learn to sell products and services before you even
create your own.
2. Services
Many content businesses start with a service-based business. As they get to know the
problems of their clients more intimately, they develop products to address those
problems.
Remember, your services are an extension of your spiritual journey. Whether it's a one-
on-one coaching session or ghostwriting an article, each interaction is an opportunity to
touch lives.
3. Products
In every step, remember, the essence lies in authenticity. The more real, relatable, and
genuine you are, the deeper the connection you'll form with your audience.

12.
Adopt Authentic
Growth.
INTEGRITY @NIKHUNO
To be yourself in a world that is
constantly trying to make you something
else is the greatest accomplishment.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
Navigating the world of marketing can often feel challenging, particularly when striving
for authenticity.
In the realm of spiritual content business, the balance between genuine communication
and impactful outreach is crucial.
Over time, I've honed a communication philosophy and methodology I call Authentic
Growth (AG).
At its core, Authentic Growth champions the cause of attracting and nurturing clientele
through genuine empowerment.
1. Perspective Shift: It's not about selling, it’s about meaningful invitations.
2. Audience Alignment: Know and cater to your audience's true needs, both in spoken
and written content. Always be transparent about your offerings.
3. Empowerment Over Pain: Avoid fixating on 'pain points'. Instead, spotlight stories of
success and growth, allowing prospects to make an enlightened choice.
5. Avoid Fear Tactics: FOMO, urgency, or scarcity. Attract clientele through genuine,
affirmative messaging.
6. Service At Every Step: View each stage of your customer's journey as a golden
chance to serve and add value.
@NIKHUNO
7. Value-Centric Approach: Ensure that every interaction, whether pricing or a
giveaway, is rooted in providing value and service.
10. Consistent Authenticity: Regularly audit your strategies and messages. Ensure
they remain aligned with your core values, allowing you to grow without compromising
authenticity.
T: Trust - From the get-go, lay a foundation of trust by being clear and honest about
your intentions and offerings.
R: Resonate - Engage your audience by speaking to their fundamental desires and
beliefs, steering clear of manipulative pain point tactics.
U: Unfold - Lay out the benefits and attributes of your offering, making it clear why it
could be their perfect solution.
E: Empower - Promote informed choices. Equip your audience with the insights and
understanding needed to make a decision that suits them, sidestepping the typical
aggressive sell.
To illustrate how the T.R.U.E. Framework can be put into practice, consider this
example.
A copy for meditation series crafted to combat the burnout so many experience in our
digital-driven age:
T: Trust
"Ever felt the weight of relentless device notifications, ending your day even more
drained than it began? We recognize that struggle. Hence, we've formulated an answer,
rooted in your well-being. No shortcuts, no pretense – just sincere support."
@NIKHUNO
R: Resonate
"You're far from alone in this battle. In our tech-saturated era, many grapple with the
balance between staying connected and retaining peace of mind. Picture a strategy
that seamlessly integrates the two."
U: Unfold
"Meet our meditation series: A unique blend of digital world realities and age-old
mindfulness practices. Transform those never-ending alerts into moments of
introspection, finding islands of serenity amidst the constant barrage."
E: Empower
"Don't be a passive recipient in the digital age. Take charge. Sign up for our newsletter,
immerse yourself in meditative practices, and discover your digital sanctuary."
By incorporating these strategies and tailoring them to your unique offering, you're
setting the stage for meaningful and empowering interactions with your audience.
Real success in marketing, particularly for spiritual businesses, isn't about sales.
It's about building genuine connections and ensuring your work aligns with your true
self.
Dive deep into the essence of your offerings, and communicate them with both clarity
and heart.
