ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to the people who have played a
significant role in my journey towards becoming a qualified educator. First and
foremost, I would like to thank my parents, who have been my constant source of
inspiration and support throughout my academic journey. Their unwavering trust and
encouragement have given me the courage to pursue my dreams.
To my dear Principal, I would like to thank you for providing me with the
opportunity to practice teach and gain valuable experience in the field. Your guidance
and mentorship have been instrumental in helping me develop my teaching skills and
confidence.
Thank you all for your unwavering support and encouragement. I am grateful

The Gallanosa National High School has clean surroundings, clean facilities
and enough classrooms to accommodate students. Colorful rooms and walls that is
appropriate for the Junior and Senior High School students. It has a friendly
atmosphere where the learners and the other members of the community live in love
and understanding.
It is also safe and secure, where the learners are free from hazards, accidents.
The school is positive and non-threating environment where respect, fairness, support
and communication are present in the entire school system.
ABOUT COOPERATING PRINCIPAL
My Cooperating Principal is Mrs. Marivic Anonuevo She was simple but very
manageable, responsible to her profession as a principal in Carriedo Elementary
School. She has a quality of a good person, approachable, very accommodating, share
advices, she is a humble and genuine person indeed.
Ma'am Marivic was the one who gave us orientation about the school rules
and policies. She treated us very well and she does not consider us others. Thanks to
her for giving us the opportunity to work together on their team, to make educational
materials for the children and for letting us experience to teach in actual field.
I learned a lot and enjoyed my experience as practicum.
ABOUT THE COOPERATING TEACHER
Harven had always harbored a deep passion for language and literature. From
the moment he could read, he was enchanted by the power of words to weave tales,
evoke emotions, and ignite imaginations. It was this love for the written and spoken
word that led him to pursue a career in teaching, eager to share his enthusiasm for
English with the next generation of students.
At first, Harven felt the weight of responsibility bearing down on him. The
classroom was his stage, and the students his audience, eagerly awaiting the wisdom
and guidance he had to offer. Doubt crept into his mind, whispering tales of
inadequacy and fear of failure. But deep down, he knew that he possessed the
knowledge, passion, and determination to overcome any obstacle in his path.
With each passing day, Harven grew more confident in his abilities as a
teacher. He discovered innovative ways to engage his students, blending traditional
teaching methods with modern technology and interactive learning experiences. He
encouraged lively discussions, fostered creativity through writing assignments and
storytelling exercises, and above all, instilled in his students a deep appreciation for
the beauty and complexity of the English language.
But Harven's impact extended far beyond the four walls of the classroom. He
became a mentor, a role model, and a friend to his students, offering guidance,
support, and encouragement whenever it was needed most. He celebrated their
successes, comforted them in times of failure, and inspired them to reach for the stars,
no matter how daunting the journey might seem.
On the day of his graduation, amidst a sea of proud faces and jubilant cheers,
Harven stood tall, diploma in hand, ready to embark on the next chapter of his
journey. As he looked out at the world stretching before him, he knew that no matter
where life took him, he would always carry with him the lessons learned, the
memories made, and the profound impact he had made on the lives of others.
For Harven Lim Dineros was not just a teacher but also a son to his parents,
father of his children, and a loving partner to his wife he was a beacon of hope, a
champion of knowledge, and a true embodiment of the transformative power of
education. And as he stepped into the bright future that awaited him, he did so with a
heart full of gratitude, a mind full of dreams, and a soul ablaze with the limitless
potential of what was yet to come.
WEEKLY JOURNAL
Teaching 21st Century Literature
our fifth week, we turned our attention to the growing phenomenon of social
media literature. From microfiction on Twitter to serialized storytelling on platforms
like Wattpad, we examined how social media has democratized the creation and
consumption of literature. Students critically analyzed the impact of social media on
narrative structure, audience engagement, and author-reader interactions. It was
fascinating to witness their nuanced perspectives on the evolving landscape of digital
literature.
**Week 6: Reflective Essay and Last Discussion For the 3rd Quarter
Examination**
As I prepare for the culmination of the third quarter, I find myself reflecting on the
journey we've undertaken together in exploring 21st-century literature. This week
marks a significant milestone as we engage in our final discussions and assessments
before the examination period.
Our last discussions are an opportunity to synthesize our learning and explore key
themes and concepts that have emerged throughout the quarter. From the impact of
technology on storytelling to the evolving nature of identity in contemporary
literature, these discussions are a testament to the depth and complexity of the texts
we've explored together.
As the week draws to a close, I feel a sense of satisfaction knowing that we've laid a
strong foundation for the upcoming examination period. While there may be
challenges ahead, I am confident that my students are well-prepared to demonstrate
their knowledge and understanding of 21st-century literature. And as we bid farewell
to the third quarter, I look forward to the opportunities and adventures that await us in
the final stretch of the school year.
**Week 7: Time for the 4th Quarter**
April 1-5, 2024
As I enter the final stretch of my practice teaching journey, I can't help but feel a mix
of excitement and nostalgia. This week marks the beginning of the fourth quarter, a
crucial period where students are gearing up for their final exams and assessments. In
teaching 21st-century Literature, I aim to make these last weeks as impactful and
meaningful as possible.
Reflecting on the past weeks, I realize how much my students have grown not just
academically but also personally. Their engagement with the texts we've explored and
the discussions we've had has been truly inspiring. As I plan out this week's lessons, I
want to focus on reinforcing key concepts while also encouraging critical thinking and
creativity.
Incorporating multimedia and technology into the curriculum has been a highlight of
this experience. From analyzing digital literature to creating multimedia presentations,
my students have embraced these tools with enthusiasm. As we delve deeper into the
final quarter, I'm excited to see how they continue to explore and innovate in their
understanding of literature in the digital age.
**Week 8: Preparing My Lesson Plans' IMs**
April 8-12, 2024
With the fourth quarter well underway, it's time to fine-tune my lesson plans and
instructional materials (IMs) for the remaining weeks. This week is crucial in
ensuring that my lessons are engaging, relevant, and aligned with the learning
objectives.
As I finalize my plans for the coming weeks, I feel a sense of anticipation and
determination. These last few weeks are an opportunity to make a lasting impact on
my students and to leave a positive legacy as a practice teacher.
**Week 9: Final Demo and Evaluation Week**
April 15-19, 2024
The moment of truth has arrived – it's final demo and evaluation week. As I stand
before my students and deliver my last few lessons, I can't help but feel a mix of
nerves and excitement. This is the culmination of weeks of hard work and dedication,
and I'm determined to give it my all.
As the week draws to a close, I feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. While there
were undoubtedly challenges along the way, I'm grateful for the opportunity to have
made a difference in the lives of my students. As I look ahead to the future, I carry
with me the lessons learned and the memories shared during this transformative
experience.
**Week 10: Final Examination of Senior High School**
April 22-26, 2024
The final examination week is here, marking the culmination of the seniors' journey
through high school. As I administer the exams and proctor the testing sessions, I can't
help but feel a sense of nostalgia. It seems like just yesterday they were freshmen,
eager and wide-eyed, embarking on this new chapter of their lives.
Watching my students diligently work through their exams, I'm reminded of the
progress they've made over the past year. From mastering complex literary concepts
to honing their critical thinking skills, they've grown in ways both academic and
personal. While the exams are just one measure of their success, they serve as a
testament to their hard work and dedication.
As the week unfolds, I also take time to support and encourage my students, offering
words of encouragement and reassurance. I want them to know that regardless of the
outcome, they have already achieved so much and should be proud of their
accomplishments.
As the final exams come to a close, I feel a sense of bittersweetness. While I'm
excited to see my students move on to the next chapter of their lives, I'll miss the
bonds we've formed and the memories we've shared. But as they say, every ending is
a new beginning, and I'm confident that the future holds great things for each and
every one of them.
**Week 11: Measuring the Reading Ability of Grade 12 SHS**
April 29, 2024-May 3, 2024
As we enter the penultimate week of the school year, it's time to assess the reading
ability of our Grade 12 Senior High School students. Reading comprehension is a
vital skill that not only impacts academic success but also lays the foundation for
lifelong learning and critical thinking.
As the students engage with the assessment tasks, I observe their progress with a keen
eye, noting their strategies, strengths, and areas for improvement. It's gratifying to see
how far they've come since the beginning of the school year, and I'm proud of the
growth they've achieved.
After the assessments are complete, I take time to review the results and analyze the
data. This information will not only inform my teaching practice moving forward but
also provide valuable insights for the students themselves. Armed with this
knowledge, we can work together to address any areas of weakness and continue to
build upon their strengths.
As the end of the school year draws near, I feel a sense of accomplishment knowing
that I've played a role in shaping the reading abilities of my students. While our time
together may be coming to an end, I'm confident that the skills they've acquired will
serve them well in the future.
**Week 12: Measuring the Reading Ability of Grade 12 Senior High School**
May 6-10, 2024
As the final week of the school year unfolds, it's time to wrap up our assessment of
the Grade 12 Senior High School students' reading ability. This week provides an
opportunity to reflect on their progress and celebrate their achievements.
As I review the assessment data, I'm pleased to see the growth and improvement
demonstrated by my students. From their comprehension skills to their analytical
abilities, they've made significant strides over the course of the year. It's a testament to
their hard work and dedication, as well as the support and guidance provided by their
teachers.
In addition to analyzing the assessment results, I also take time to engage with my
students in reflective discussions. I want them to understand the importance of
reading and literacy skills beyond the classroom and to appreciate the impact these
skills can have on their lives.
As the school year comes to a close, I feel a sense of pride and fulfillment knowing
that I've played a role in fostering a love of reading and learning in my students.
While our time together may be ending, I'm confident that the lessons they've learned
will stay with them for years to come.
**Week 13: Checking the Grades and Spending Remaining Days as a Practice
Teacher in GNHS**
May 13-15, 2024
As I sit down to check the grades of my students, I can't help but feel a sense of pride
and accomplishment. These past few months as a practice teacher teaching 21st-
century Literature in the Philippines and the World at GNHS have been an enriching
and transformative experience.
Reviewing the grades, I am reminded of the hard work and dedication each student
has put into their studies. From thought-provoking discussions to creative projects,
they have embraced the challenges of exploring literature in the digital age with
enthusiasm and passion. It's truly gratifying to see their growth and progress reflected
in their grades.
But beyond the numbers on the page, what stands out most are the relationships I've
formed with my students. As I spend these remaining days in the classroom, I cherish
the opportunity to connect with them one last time. Whether it's sharing stories,
offering words of encouragement, or simply being present, I want to make the most of
our time together.
In these final days, I am reminded of the impact teachers can have on the lives of their
students. While my time at GNHS may be coming to an end, the memories and
lessons learned will stay with me forever. As I prepare to embark on the next chapter
of my journey, I carry with me a deep appreciation for the transformative power of
education and the privilege of shaping young minds.
FINAL DEMONSTRATION
The day that every Practice Teacher feel the nervousness. I have lack of sleep
from preparing visual aids and PowerPoint Presentation. I checked it if there is
something wrong or missing with my Presentation. I also prepare and buy snacks for
the panels and for my cooperating teacher. After that I go to school early at the time
7:00 am for I have the schedule for my final demonstration at 7:45-8:45 in the
morning, So I rushed going to the school but the panels arrived at 9:00am that’s why
my schedule for my demonstration is moved and have enough time to fix the room,
my visual aids, the tv and my laptop. Later on, my Cooperating teacher arrived, and I
asked her if I have the time to change my lesson plan in a rushed time because i saw a
mistake on it, but she says no you don’t have the time for that just memorize it and
practice your lesson, and she says that i can do it, that I should not feel nervous
because I can do it. And we saw the panels are here, my nervousness has been
doubled. I keep memorizing so that I can deliver my lesson properly and clear. And to
keep my mind calm during demonstration.
The time has come, the panel entered our room. My panelist during my final
demonstration is Ma’am Lolita Labrador. The students greet her a very good morning.
I take a deep breath and take a look outside the door I see the beautiful trees and skies
and I feel the calm. I am not looking at the back. I focused on my presentation.
Calling the names of students who wants to answer and focused in explaining and
giving the activities. And I finish the lesson smoothly. I feel so calm that time. After
finishing the lesson my students greet me a big around of applause and I’m very
thankful that my final demonstration is successful. After that my cooperating teacher
called me at the back. And go to the Panelist.
My Panelist Ma’am Lolita Labrador said that I deliver my lesson very well, I
prepared my IM’s very good. But she says that there is something wrong with the
objectives. And I remember the mistake that I asked my cooperating teacher that I
want to change my lesson plan in a little bit of time, that she says that there is no time
just continue what you have now. I feel sad because I know my mistake and I don’t
have the time to change it, but when the Panelist says I know you who you are, I
know what you can do because you have the confidence within you. And someday
you will be a very good role Model and Inspiration as a Teacher. When I hear the
Ma’am Lolita’s comment, I feel relieved that she is amazed on my talent and the
things that I can do. I’m also glad that my Final Demonstration is very well done and
successful.
