HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Holidays are an integral part of a student’s life. It is a time for fun, a time to explore and a time to learn in
different ways. When holidays are given a meaningful direction, it results in a productive and enjoyable
time. Let’s use these holidays to pursue some hobbies and apply our minds creatively to learn new things
and to bring a change in the environment, in our own individual way.
Vacation is a time when you connect with your friends, family members and relatives. So, all of you “FIX A
GOAL AND STRIVE HARD EACH DAY TO ACHIEVE IT!
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO BE FOLLOWED WHILE DOING HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
 Holiday homework should be done as per the instructions given (on A-4, A-3 size sheets or chart,
notebook or file).
 All sheets should be put together (tied/stapled) and handed over to the respective subject teachers
on the first day of re-joining after break.
 Subject-wise folder can also be made for the submission of holiday homework. It should be labelled
properly indicating clearly the name, class, section and subject. Homework will be assessed for neat
handwriting, presentation, creativity and submission of the work on time.
 Parents can be facilitator at home. However, the work should be done independently by the child
in his/her own handwriting.
 Handwriting should be done once a week in notebook both for English & Hindi in a separate
notebook as a part of subject enrichment.
 Add a dash of magic and a sense of wonder into your child’s life by reading out and enacting a story
and a rhyme to your child every day. (Books PDF are available online).You can choose Ruskin
Bond, Sudha Murthy etc.
 Play educational games while spending quality family time like Sudoku, Scrabble, Pictionary,
Charades etc.
 Plan activities to nurture your child’s talents in performing arts like art, craft, music, dance etc.
 Revise concepts taught so as to ensure that our children do not lose touch with them.
 Include discussions on relevant current topics, developing general awareness and intriguing their
interest in the same.
HOLIDAY HOME WORK
Class-II
Subject-English
 Write 10 pages of neat and clean handwriting.
 Prepare a beautiful greeting card on the occasion of “Father’s Day”. Write 5 lines about your father.
 Reading is good habit. Read one page daily from your favourite story book at home.
Learn new words and note them in your notebook.
 Write 10 doing words (Action words).Also paste the pictures.
 Make a mask of your favourite animal or bird, wear it and send a video of the same to your class
teacher.

Subject-Maths
 Write number name from one to hundred (1-100).
 Learn and write multiplication tables from 2 to 10 in your notebook.
 Draw pictures and write names of 10 objects you find at your home which are long and round in
shape.
 Make a picture using shapes.

Subject-EVS
 Home sweet home
A home can be made of sticks and mud or great big blocks of snow. A home can be twenty stories tall
or in the ground below. A home can be way up on a hill or next to the ocean wide. A home can have a
mill above or a chimney on its side. A home can be where you are safe and sound with family, friends
and more. A home can be where you have your heart and all that you adore. Make a model on
different types of houses Kutcha/pucca house. Choose any one. Take the things easily available at
home to give a perfect finish to your model.
 Yoga is considered to be a good exercise. It helps to keep both mind and body fit. Write down the
names of some yoga poses and find their benefits.
 Spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness in one’s life and the diseases caused by
unhygienic conditions amongst your family members. Make a video of 1-2 min and send it your class
teacher.

Subject - Hindi
1. अपने आस पास से संज्ञा के चार ं भे द ं के 10-10 नाम लिखें ।
क- ( व्यक्तिवाचक संज्ञा ) अपने परिवाि के सदस्यं के नाम लिखें औि उनके साथ अपना सं बंध ( Relation ) बताएं ।
( उदाहरण: सदस्य का नाम - म हन , सदस्य के साथ संबंध - चाचा जी )
ख- ( वस्तु वाचक संज्ञा ) िसयई घि में इस्ते माि हयने वािी लकन्ीं 10 वस्तु ओं के नाम लिखें । ( उदाहरण: चाकू )
ग- ( स्थानवाचक संज्ञा ) अपने लकन्ीं 10 मनपसंद स्थानयं के नाम लिखें । ( उदाहरण: स्वणण मंलदर )
घ- ( भाववाचक संज्ञा ) अपने परिवाि के प्रत्ये क छयटे या बडे सदस् में सबसे अलधक पाए जाने वािे भाव का नाम लिखें ।
( उदाहरण: सदस्य का नाम - लपता जी , भाव - गुस्सा )

Subject- Punjabi
1. ਂ
ਮਾਤਰਾਵਾਾਂ- - ਕੰਨਾ, ਸਿਹਾਰੀ, ਸਿਹਾਰੀ ਔਕੜ ,ਦੁਲੋਂਕੜ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀਹ (20) ਵਾਕ ਿਣਾਓ। (On A4 sheet)
