Position: Accounting Supervisor


Reports to: General Manager
About the Role
The accounting supervisor will work closely with the General Manager in managing, processing
and troubleshooting various finance & accounting functions. You will be part of a creative team
that is deeply passionate about solving problems and ensuring both your individual and career
growth.
You will liaise with procurement, admin and warehousing teams to monitor and prepare relevant
management reports.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

 Process payments for vendors as approved by the General Manager.


 Verify, reconcile all vendor accounts; both inputs and non inputs.
 Charge expenses to accounts, cost centers as per company policy.
 Management, reconciliation of Petty cash for all cost centers and posting to the respective
ledgers.
 Consolidation of warehouses batch payment requests and processing.
 Respond to all accounts payable queries.
 Ensure that all statutory payments (PAYE, NSSF, HELB, Housing Levy & NHIF) are
made within the required timelines.

Financial Reporting & Treasury


 Reconciliation of all bank transactions on a weekly and monthly basis.
 Daily sales reconciliation & customer invoicing.
 Weekly cash runway management and reporting.
 Reconciliation of ledgers and other schedules to support management and financial
reporting. e.g. Accruals, prepayments.
 Aging report for all account payables.
 Balance sheet support listings.
 Assist in the audit process by providing information and data as requested.

Filing & record keeping


 Maintain and keep records of finance documentations; Invoices, Credit notes, contracts,
lease and loans agreements.
 Secure record keeping of all bank, tax correspondence.
Qualifications:
 A business-related degree from a recognized institution.
 Accounting qualifications: CPA, ACCA will be an added advantage.
 Knowledge and good understanding, application of IFRS.
 At least 2 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in debtors reconciliation,
management.
