 “HEART”法则

许多考生在遇到陌生的话题时，都表示即便用汉语支去写作都很“词穷”，更不必说用
英文写作了。在此，笔者在本章最后为大家提供一个“中心法则”，用以帮助考生学会用不
同的角度来思考话题，想出分论点信息。
HEART法则（中心法则）主要包括Health+E......+Ability+Right+Culture。下面是对“中
心法则”的详细介绍。

（1）Health
健康法则：既可以指physical health，也可以指mental health。以20140816的大作文为
例：Computer games are popular with children in all ages and nationalities. Parents may think they
have little educational value and can have harmful effects. What do you think? 中，如果我们倾向
于同意，就会提到同意的理由/论点之一就是computer games对健康的危害，那么我们就会在
下面表格右侧选择一个合适的短语加以修改来表述我们的总论点：computer games may give
rise to physical illnesses such as short-sightedness, obesity as well as psychological obstacles.下面
再阐述分论点一：playing too much on the computer can cause bad eyesight的原因；分论点二：
jeopardizes physical health of individuals和分论点三：如何造成psychological obstacles，造成了
哪些心理障碍。

用健康法则来分析话题时所用到的表述方法如下图：

以用到健康法则作为论点。

效率法则：主要是指在时间、金钱、空间、数量、质量方面的增加与减少，节省与浪
费。以 20140517话题为例：Some people prefer online study while others think attending courses
in classroom is a better choice. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.当提及online courses
的好处时，考生可以在下表的优点处找到并适当改写studying via internet can be free from

经济法则：主要分为两个方面：一是宏观的地区或者国家的经济本身；二是指所有与
“钱”相关的信息，如：investment/cost/profit/pay/salary/income/expenditure/tax/ bupursuidget/
fund/ subsidy/financial support等。以20131214的话题为例：Nowadays, fashion is becoming
more and more important to young people. Some people think this has negative impact on young
people and on society. To what extent do you agree or disagree?如果考生的立场倾向于赞同，
即：年轻人追求时尚会产生不良的影响。那么可以从下面的表格右侧中找到一个句子，并进
行适当改写：...is sure to waste great amount of money, and this would be a great burden for those

环境法则：主要包括两个方面：一是自然环境，即the nature/our living surroundings；二
是氛围，如图书馆所提供的学习氛围scholastic/academic atmosphere等。以20130323为例：
Nowadays, many children are not as fit and healthy as children used to be in the past. What are the
causes? How could it be solved？考生在解释原因时可提到环境所造成的孩子整体免疫力的下
降，从而会患一些流行性疾病，可在下面表格的右侧找一个短语，并进行适当改写，如：

travel which also poses threat to our surroundings. After all, it is not only the planes that

is considera bly bigger tha n that of air travel. Besides, oil leaked by ships also severely
aggravates the quality of sea water, which is another main source of conta mination.

Second, carbon dioxide conta mination is not the sole cause of environmental pollution. In
fact, there are so many other factors which gave rise to the degrading environ ment that
carbon emissions might not be the worst one. For exa mple, the litters du mped every day by
citizens in metropolitan cities tremendously jeopardize our living environ ment and thereby
adversely affecting our well-being. To put it another way, cutting down air travel may not be
the best option since there are many other types of pollution apart from air pollution.

Admittedly, e missions produced by aeropla nes are one of the culprits of carbon dioxide
pollution. As was revealed by a recent BBC report, carbon dioxide e mitted by airpla nes
accou nts for approximately 2% in the total a mou nt of e mission contributed by hu ma n
behaviors. However, it seems to me that reducing air travel is not sensible considering its
unparalleled convenience which is urgently needed by business travelers, political figures as
well as ordinary citizens who travel long distance.

To su m up, I a m not quite convinced of the rationality of reducing air travel as the best way
of protecting the environment mainly because of the above argu ments.
