Learning Outcome:

After completing this exercise, you shall be able to:

• Implement the desaturation effect to adjust the overall color of a video.


• Apply effects selectively to specific parts of a video using masking techniques.
• Utilize Keyframes to create animated effects within the video.
• Skillfully animate masks to follow facial movements in a video clip.
Problem Statement:

You have been assigned the task of editing a video clip using Adobe Premiere Pro to enhance its visual
appeal while maintaining the natural color of a person's face. Your goal is to apply a desaturation effect to
the entire video while preserving the color saturation specifically on the person's face, using advanced
masking and animation techniques to ensure seamless integration.

Tasks

1. Download the provided video by clicking here.


2. Import the video into Adobe Premiere Pro and place it on the timeline for editing.
3. Apply the desaturation effect to the overall video, using masking to preserve the natural color of the
person's face.
4. Create a dynamic animation for the mask to accurately follow the movements of the person's face.

Requirements:

1. Capture screenshots of each step involved in editing the video. (Take at least 5 screenshots)
2. Add all 5 screenshots into a Microsoft Word file and upload it on the Learning Management System
(LMS).
