How to shoot landscape photos with Nikon

D5600
Landscape Photography with Nikon D5600
The 24-megapixel Nikon D5600 is one of the most popular DSLR
cameras under $1,000. Customers are tremendously satisfied with its
excellent image quality and speedy performance.
It’s perfect for photographers who are beginners and are planning to
hone their photography skills with an entry-level model like the Nikon
D5600.

Wide-angle lenses are made for landscape photography. Make sure you
get a compatible wide-angle lens for your Nikon.

Still, most of the Nikon users come through various issues while clicking
those perfect Landscape shots and you can surely go by the following
steps to master the same art.

Step 1. Setting the ideal shot with programmed Auto

Mode
In your Nikon D5600, you will find the Program auto mode (P), some
semiautomatic modes such as Shutter-priority (S), Aperture-priority (A),
and the Manual (M) exposure mode.

The Programmed Auto mode lets the camera intelligently set the
settings for the perfect shot.

It is the ideal selection for beginners, who will gradually use other
methods once they understand the art of photography.

The different modes in the camera allow adjusting the settings as per
the photographer’s convenience.
Step 2. Fixing the aperture in desirable modes
Shooting a good landscape image is easy, but you need to practice to
become a pro.

Whenever you spot a scene that pleases your eyes, play with your lens to
a wide-angle and fix the aperture (set it to a high f-number such as f/11)
in the P, A, or M modes.

Next, you can adjust your shutter speed to the desired level. If your
shutter speed is deficient, make sure you do not shake your camera,
even slightly.

Alternatively, you can place it on a tripod for a clear shot.

The “i” button gives you extra options from where you can set the
metering mode to Matrix or Centre Weighted. This function analyses the
entire scene and averages out the exposure.

Step 3. Setting the focusing techniques

You can also use a different focusing technique called single-shot
autofocus (AF-S), and take a quick shot. You can experiment by clicking
photos from different angles, to see which one best draws a viewer’s eye
into the scene.

Step 4. Focus locking of Nikon D5600

All Nikon cameras can lock focus on a subject. You need to frame your
image, focus on your subject, press the shutter release halfway down for
once, and hold it there.

This will lock your focus for a particular shot.

When your focus is locked, you do not have a fear of losing focus on
your subject. Afterward, you can change the position of your camera to
create much more interesting compositions.

Step 5. Setting the right subject

A pro photographer would recommend that you choose AF-S as the
focus mode in the beginning.

Sometimes, it becomes challenging to find the appropriate subject to

focus on in a landscape view.

In such cases, you can move the point around so that you can get focus
on the subject whenever it is in the frame.
option 1
With Nikon D5600, you can get the perfect frames to click a landscape
photo by starting start with the SCENE mode and using the Landscape
setting.
