Warframe – Steel Path Void Cascades – Level Cap Guide

Written by Swipe and -XAZU-

Disclaimer: As of December 2023, the advent of green archon shards allows for any frame to fully strip Thrax armor with
14 corrosive stacks (2 regular green shards). Combined with Xata’s Whisper, this allows any warframe to easily kill Thrax
to level cap and beyond. While any frame can now make it to level cap with shield gating, this guide is aimed towards
beginners of the Void Cascade game mode.

This guide will not dive into every single detail about the Void Cascade game mode, for the sake of brevity. The purpose
of this guide is to show minimum gear and mechanics needed for endurance runs to level cap, within a reasonable
amount of time (1 hour) for beginners. It is by no means the only way or best way to level cap cascades, but rather shows
the easiest methods which do not require excessive shield gating, riven mods, try-hard mechanics, or min-maxing. For
more details on the Void Cascade game mode, check out SabreWalrus’ guide here:

Important Tips
1. Do not attempt to kill the void angel until the run has ended as it may bug acolyte spawns.
2. Don’t chase drops. This will cause late rotations, jeopardizing the mission. Arcanes take 20 minutes to despawn.

Gameplay Loop
1. Assuming a 4-person team, denote 2 Attackers (1 flex-attacker) / 2 Defenders (1 flex-defender)
2. The Dedicated attacker will chase forward exolizers and should be in the next zone before/as the first exolizer
spawns, while the flex attacker rotates to the forward exolizer as soon as both defenders are in place in the
previous zone.
3. As attackers are purging forward exolizers, defenders will wait behind at the back exolizers, until they are
depleted. Flex defender will rotate to attack when 1 exolizer is remaining, and dedicated attacker will rotate to
next room once flex defender arrives.
4. Once the last back exolizer is depleted, the dedicated defender will rotate to meet the attackers, and the cycle
repeats.
5. Repeat as zones will rotate A>B>C>A>B>C.

Dealing with Thrax Ghosts

1. While in operator mode, cast contamination wave/caustic strike to proc Eternal Eradicate.
a. If using Madurai, you can use Void Strike + Amp Glaive (X-4-X Amp) Alt Fire to speed up Thrax killing.
b. When facing high level enemies (near level cap and above), 3 contamination waves/caustic strikes + void
sling will proc eternal onslaught.

Recommended Frames/Roles (for beginners)

Revenant: Aura is a flex slot - 2 yellow casting shards, 2 green corrosive shards, 1 yellow parkour shard (optional)

Octavia: Subsume Terrify over 2, Note: Archon shards are not required
Recommended Archon Shards: red duration, Blue energy max, and/or yellow energy orb effectiveness.

Ash: Subsume Xata’s Whisper over 3, Note: archon shards are not required
Recommended Archon Shards: red duration, Blue energy max, and/or yellow energy orb effectiveness
Xaku: Subsume Terrify over 3. Recommended Archon Shards: 2x yellow casting speed, 3x red strength shards
Alternatively, consider Molt Augmented in place of Molt Efficiency if you lack shards

Recommended Weapons
Glaive Prime (for use against Grineer. Can use Primed Pressure point in place of Sacrificial Pressure). R6 sacrificial steel is
for use in conjunction with melee duplicate to hit cc breakpoint (melee duplicate is not needed and is purely optional)

Cerata (for use against Corpus)

Felarx (can use Primary Merciless/Deadhead/Shotgun Vendetta Arcane)
Incarnon EVOs: Projectile Flight Speed, Evolved Autoloader, Wracking Wrath, Devastating Attrition. FConsider Amalgam
Shotgun Barrage in place of Vigilante Armaments. Exilus is a flex slot, for example, evolved auto reloader + synth mods
on pet + lock and load on exilus = 1.25s reload speed for full 13-clip reload.

Kompressa (Innate Viral primer, can use secondary merciless for reload speed)

Catabolyst (Innate Corrosive Beam Primer)

Bubonico (Innate Viral Primer with alt-fire, can use Primary Dexterity Arcane).
Laetum: (Incarnon Evos: rapid wrath, awakened readiness, elemental excess, devouring attrition)

Vastilok (for Octavia and Xaku to armor strip Acolytes, as they don’t need melee weapons to kill trash mobs). High noon
stance is faster to armor strip, but slightly harder to execute.

Operator
Madurai preferred. 1-X-7, 5-X-7, or 7-X-7 amps preferred. Eternal Onslaught is more dps than Virtuous Strike if you are
comfortable with activating the arcane. Virtuous strike is not suitable for 1-X-X amps due to the lower fire rate not
activating virtuous strike consistently.
Companion
Dethcube: Synth mods for reload on holster. See Helstrum build.

Wyrm is also a good pick for negating status effects once every 5 seconds.

Helstrum: Gas clouds synergize with energy generator and Helstrum auto procs Arcane Consequence.

Utility
Fosfors will increase mesmer shield affinity range to 200m – blueprints purchasable from Nakak in Cetus.
Ammo/Energy Restores are self explanatory. Orokin eye can be used to find voidplumes for standing.

On Call Crew
Kuva Zarr: Ideally, your elite on-call crew has +5 combat with 150% critical chance bonus with rifles passive. This can be
used to clear rooms full of Thrax up to level cap (Void strike and alt fire glaive amp to kill multiple Thrax ghosts).
