Product Overview

What is Model N Channel?

This plug-in models British-made preamps, compressors, equalizers, and transmitters.

It models multiple actual units, including vintage units, recent units, and modi ed units, and can be
used in combination with them.

Model N Channel is not just modeling the sound of the original preamp, comp, and EQ alone.

It features modeling of the sound qualities and tones routed in large recording studios, including sounds
through British consoles, cables, bantam patch bays, and even AD/DA, which can add a strong analog
texture.
Bypassing the Preamp Section and turning down the Condition can also reduce the analog texture.

The Model N Channel does not reproduce the sound quality, timbre, or texture of the original instrument
as it was when it was run through the actual instrument,
Rather than reproducing the sound quality, tone, and texture of the original device as is, we have
focused on sound quality and operability that are easy to handle when used as a plug-in for a DAW.

Rather than aiming for the same sound as the original device, multiple inserts of the device's features
were made as plug-ins, and the sound quality was adjusted with priority given to elements that would
make the user want to use the device.
In addition, parameters that need to be adjusted in detail in the modern age, such as knobs that can
only be switched in 2dB or 5dB increments on the original device, are continuously adjustable to enable
ne adjustment.

Preamp Section

1.Type
・84
Modeling of a vintage unit from the 70's.
Faithfully modeled type including the habitual mid-low range that
existed in the original actual unit.
Suitable for distorting drums and bass.

・31
Modeling of a vintage 80's model.
It has more mid-range characteristics than the "84" and has a darker
texture.
Suitable for vocals and guitars with relatively little attack.

・Mod
Modeling of a preampli er released in recent years.
Compared to the "84" and "32", it has a atter frequency response
and a less habitual distortion texture.
Suitable for various instruments such as piano, synth, strings, etc.

2.Trim
Adjusts the input level in the range from -10.0 dB to +10.0 dB.

3.Preamp
It adds distortion and texture to the preampli er.
The original actual device also ampli es the volume signi cantly, but
the Model N Channel is designed to mainly adjust distortion and
texture and not change the volume signi cantly.
It uses VoosteQ's proprietary DSP, which has low Nyquist frequency
fold-back noise even without oversampling.

4.Line/Mic
Switches the input signal between Line input or Mic input. The
volume, analog texture, and distortion will be changed.
The cable image in the GUI is also changed.

5.Preamp On/O
Turns the Preamp Section On/O .

It reproduces the original feedback circuit.
It organically and automatically changes THD, frequency bandwidth, etc.
according to the input signal material and the amount of reduction.

1.Gain Reduction Meter

Gain reduction meter for compressor.

2.Threshold
Adjusts the threshold between +10.0dB and -20.0dB.

3.Type
- 25
Modeling of a vintage 70's unit.
It has a loud sound and is suitable for drums and vocals.

- 32
Modeling of a vintage 70's unit.
A little bit subdued sound, suitable for bass, guitar, keyboards,
etc.

Adjust the ratio between 1.5:1 and 6:1.

5.Recovery
Adjust the release between 100ms - 1.5s.
Can also be set to Auto.

6.Gain Make Up
Adjusts the compressor output level in the range from 0.0dB
to +20.0dB.

7.Comp Mix
Adjusts the compressor mix amount.

8.Slam
Toggles the tone and texture of the compressor.
When set to On, the compressor's internal processing is
changed to give it a modern texture.

9.Comp On / O
Turns the Compressor Section On/O .

Equalizer Section

1.Type
-84
Modeling of 70's vintage model.
It has a slightly peculiar sound in the mid-low range, just like
the original.

-31
Modeling of 80's vintage model.
Natural sound with wide Q as same as the original.

-Mod
Modeling of a recently released model.
Relatively at, with a characteristic low-frequency texture and
high-frequency extension.

2.Hi Freq
Adjusts the frequency of Hi shelving EQ.

3.Hi Gain
Adjusts the gain of Hi shelving EQ between -16dB and +16dB.

4.Mid Freq
Adjusts the frequency of Mid peaking EQ.

5.Mid Hi-Q
Switches the Q range of the mid peaking EQ.
When set to On, the Q range becomes narrower.

6.Mid Gain
Adjusts the Mid peaking EQ gain between -18dB and +18dB
when Hi-Q is On, and between -12dB and +12dB when Hi-Q is
O .

7.Low Freq
Adjusts the frequency of Low shelving EQ.

8.Low Gain
Adjusts the Low shelving EQ gain between -16dB and +16dB.

9.Hi Pass Filter

Adjusts the cuto frequency of the high-pass lter.

10.Low Pass Filter

Adjusts the cuto frequency of the low pass lter.
