Central Government to roll out ‘Know your Constitution’ Campaign in Schools and
Colleges
Government has planned to start a campaign named ‘Know your Constitution’ Campaign in
Schools and Colleges to increase the knowledge about the constitution in the students and youth
This campaign will be started in colleges, schools, and universities across India.
This announcement was made by The Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar has launched the
Government's Digital Calender and Diary App.
This App is available in 11 languages from 15th January, 2021. The app will eliminate
the need for a new calendar every year
The Digital Calendar of Government of India is in line with Prime Minister’s Vision of
“Digital India”
The app has been designed and developed by Bureau of Outreach and Communication,
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Chief Minister of West Bengal has inaugurated Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF).
This festival honored filmmaker Satyajit Ray and Bengali actor Soumitra Chatterjee.
This festival will be held till 13th January 2021
The festival will screen 131 movies from 45 nations.
The KIFF is the third oldest international film festival in India. The festival is organized by the
West Bengal Film Centre under the West Bengal Government
Pakistan successfully test-fired indigenously developed Guided Multi Launch Rocket System
(MLRS).
Fatah-1 weapon system can hit targets up to a range of 140 km. The extended range of
MLRS is up to 150km.
The Weapon System will give Pakistan Army capability of precision target engagement

Gujarat State Government to create new Bagasara Prant in Amreli district
Chief Minister of Gujarat State, Vijay Rupani has decided to set up new Bagasara plant in
Amreli District.
The main aim for launching this Bagasara Prant is to provide government services faster
to people.
This new Bagasara Prant will come in to effect from 26 January 2021. This includes
Bagasara and Vadiya talukas in it.

Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor launches ‘Satark Nagrik’ Mobile Application
He also launched the Departmental Vigilance Officers Portal of J&K Anti Corruption
Bureau
The aim to initiate this application is to facilitate seamless flow of information about
corruption and enable citizens to submit their grievances with ease and mobility.
The Portal has designed to enable an online communication channel with the DVOs of
various departments.

Two Indian Americans appointed in National Security Council of White House
The US President-elect Joe Biden has designated Two Indian Americans to the National Security
Council of White House. They are namely Sumona Guha and Tarun Chhabra .
Sumona Guha appointed as senior director for South Asia and Tarun Chhabra designated
as senior director for Technology and National Security.
Sumona Guha is currently serving as senior vice president at Albright Stonebridge Group
and Tarun Chhabra is a senior fellow at the Centre for Security and Emerging
Technology at Georgetown University.
Former India Footballer Abhishek Yadav wa appointed as All India Football Federation’s (AIFF)

Reserve Bank of India General Manager has authored a book titled “Right Under our Nose”.
This is his debut book. The Story is based on Politics. Politics in bureaucracy also forms
an essential part of the plot.
The book has been published by Rupa Publications.

Former Gujarat Chief Minister Madhavsinh Solanki Dies
Ex Gujarat Chief Minister Madhavsinh Solanki has passed away. He is also served as External
Affairs Minister of India.
He was 93. He had also became the MP of Rajya Sabha from Gujarat.
He served as the state's CM for three terms between 1976 and 1990.
Popular Fashion designer Satya Paul passed away at the age of 79.

World Hindi Day celebrated on January 10
Every year World Hindi Day is celebrated on January 10 with an aim to promote the language all
over the world.
The day was observed as on this day in 1975, India's former Prime Minister Indira
Gandhi inaugurated the first World Hindi Conference.
National road safety week 2021 is celebrated from 11th January to 17th January, 2021. The
Week was first celebrated in 1989.
The objective of this day is to create awareness about road safety and minimize road
accidents & save life.
On 2021, 32nd National Road Safety Week is being celebrated.
