X240 (Hover) Programming (PreFace Lift)
For the Module 3787100A-K00 and 3787100-K00-D1 (Vendor
Code VA-873D1)
1. Open the Drivers front door and insert the key into the ignition.
2. Turn the key from Off to ON 5 times finishing in the ON position.
3. The flashers will flash once to indicate programming mode has
been entered.
4. Push either the lock or the unlock button on the remote.
5. If successful, the flashers will flash Twice.
6. Repeat the above steps if you have more than 1 remote to
program.
Note:
• Remote Programming on Face lift X240 and X200 is performed using the X431
Scan Tool.
• Version 33 or above is required for successful communication with the BCM.
NOTE: - When the X431 displays “learning the second key…..” for another key remote to be
Matched
Some early versions of the X431 software and some early X240 vehicles will require you to press
the home button to exit the “Key Teach” function once the first key has been completed otherwise
you may delete the first remote. In this case you should back out to the “BCM” selection screen and
repeat steps 3 to 5 for the next key and both keys will then be learned.
With later versions of the X431 and later vehicles you can proceed when the X431 asks if you wish
to program a second key. Once this is done test the operation of the Key remote to ensure correct
operation (Ensure all doors including the tailgate are closed for this check).

SA220 (Sailor) Programming Method “A”
Procedure A
1. Remove the LHF kick panel to gain access to the Central Locking
controller.
2. Refer to the diagram below and earth out pin 9 three times (the door
locks will cycle during this process).
3. Press the Lock button on all remotes one at a time to lean the remotes.
4. Remove the earth wire and refit the module and trim.
NOTE: The ignition key should not be in the ignition during this procedure.
(If you are unsuccessful try Earthing Pin 9, 5 times or attempt Procedure B on next page)

How to Swap or Replace an ECU or
Immobilizer Unit
ECU X240 and V240 (All Models) Can be Replaced or Swapped
Note: Under the “Immobilizer Matching Function” section of the X431 scan tool there is
an option to “Match the whole system”. This option must only be used if both the ECU
and Immobilizer are replaced (or Reset) at the same time. You will require the 4 digit
security code, full VIN and both keys to carry out this operation.
13
Swapping an ECU from one car to another (Petrol Vehicles ONLY)
1. Connect the X431 to the Donor vehicle.
2. Navigate to the correct model and then to the “Immobilizer system”
3. Select “Delphi Gas Immobilizer system
4. Select “Immobilizer matching function”
5. Select “reset engine ecu”
6. When prompted “Do you want to reset engine ECM” select “Yes”
7. Enter the 4 digit security code from the Donor vehicle
8. Select “reset Engine ecu”. If successful “reset success” should be displayed.
9. Remove the ECU from the donor vehicle and fit it to the problem vehicle.
10. Connect X431 to problem vehicle, turn the ignition to ON and navigate to “immobilizer
matching function”.

12. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process.
13. If successful, a confirmation screen will appear, select “Yes”.
14. If successful the Key code will be read from the Immobilizer and the vehicle should
start. If the vehicle does not start you may have to Program the keys.
15. If refitting the test ECU back into the donor vehicle ensure you reset the ECU again
(Steps 1 to 8) before removing it from the problem vehicle.
NOTE: Before allowing any vehicle to leave the workshop please ensure you have
completed the Tooth Learn procedure outlined in Bulletin 09 SI004.
