RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF JUNIOR RESIDENT

(NPG-DENTISTRY)ON CONTRACTUAL BASIS BY WALK-IN- INTERVIEW
Due to shortage of Junior Residents (NPG - Dentistry) and in the interest of

patient care services it has been decided to fill-up the vacant Junior Resident (NPG-
Dentistry) post on CONTRACTUAL basis through walk-in-interview initially for a
period of 06 months.
JR (NPG -Dentistry): UR- 01 and OBC-01

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-
a. The candidates should have passed BDS (including completion of one year
Internship) or equivalent degree recognized by Dental Council of India.
b. Only those candidates who have passed BDS (including Internship) not
earlier than two years before the date of walk-in-interview will be considered. It
implies that those who have completed BDS or equivalent course (including
completion of internship) after 18.04.2015 will be considered.
c. Those who had joined Junior Residency (NPG - Dentistry) anywhere else and
whose services were terminated on account of unauthorised absence or any other
disciplinary/ground, will be ineligible to be considered for these JR (NPG-Dentistry)
post even if they otherwise qualify.
Indian Nationals only need apply.
PAY: Rs. 60,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Interested and Eligible candidates may attend the Written test/Interview to be
held on 19.04.2017(08.30 A.M) at Exam Hall, Fourth Floor, JIPMER
Academic Centre, JIPMER, Puducherry -06 along with filled in application in the
prescribed format (appended) with the enclosure of the following certificates in
Original and one set of Self-attested copy thereof with a Demand Draft for
Rs.500/ for General and OBC candidates and Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates drawn
in favour of “The Director, JIPMER, Puducherry-06,” payable at SBI (JIPMER
Branch).
No fee is payable by Persons with Disabilities. (PWD certificate to be
produced)

ii) BDS Degree/Provisional degree Certificate
iii) Dental Council Registration Certificate
iv) Internship Completion Certificate.
v) Attempt certificate and course cum conduct certificate.
vi) “No objection Certificate” from the present employer, if employed in
Central/State Govt/Semi Govt Autonomous body from their respective
organization along with their application.
Vii) Latest OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (format appended) if
he/she belongs to OBC issued by the Revenue Officer not below the rank
of Thasildar/ Dy.Thasildar. In case the certificate is in regional language,
the English version of the certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer
is also to be furnished.
Viii) Self-declaration stating that he/she has not been worked as a Junior
Resident (NPG - Dentistry) for a period of one year (Regular/Adhoc) in any
Central/State Govt/Semi Govt Autonomous body.
A written Examination based on MCQs in the subject concerned will be
conducted for eligible Candidate followed by personal interview. 85% of total marks
will be for written test and 15% for Personal interview.
Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on their written test

marks. List of short list candidates will be displayed on our notice board on
the same day. In this regard, this Institute reserves the right to take the
final decision.
General Instructions/Conditions:-
1. The candidates are advised not to bring any political or other

recommendations to influence their selection. Such candidates will be summarily
rejected.
2. The posts are purely on CONTRACTUAL basis and under no circumstances
are linked to regular appointment and cannot be regularised at any stage.
3. The appointment will be CONTRACTUAL and subject to termination at one
month’s notice and without assigning any reason. If he/she wishes to resign his/her
job, he/she has to serve one month’s notice or remit one month’s salary or pay
thereof, as the case may be proportionate to the shortfall in the notice period. In this
regard decision of Director will be final.
4. The Competent Authority reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation
and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason
or giving notice.
5. The appointee shall not be entitled to avail any allowances/facilities being
extended to the regular/permanent faculty members of the JIPMER, Puducherry-06.
