Cyber Security” from 01st to 05th March 2023.The program
was inaugurated by chief guest Dr Rajesh Pasupuleti, Data
Scientist , System Soft technologies, Dubin,California,

Faculty Achievements 7 security threads. There were more than 1300 participant’s
Student Achievements 8 from different colleges and universities across all over India.

 Workshops

Hands-On Workshop
Hands-On Workshop on “Version Control With GIT” was Organized by the Department of CSE for the II
Year B. TECH CSE Students in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), SVECW. The
Workshop includes the topics Introduction to Git, Git versus GitHub, Git Features, Git Benefits, Add and
Commit Operation, ADD, COMMIT, PUSH, PULL, FETCH, MERGE Operations, Branching and Merging,
Followed by Home Task. The Hands-On Experience is delivered to students for the above topics. The
Workshop was organized on 28th January 2023 (9AM-12PM), Total 206 students participated in this
Workshop. Resource person is Mr. Phaneendra Varma Chintalapati, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer
Science and Engineering,SVECW(A).

The Workshop on " Unleashing the Power of ChatGPT" organized by the Department of Computer
Science & Engineering, Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women(A), Bhimavarm in association with
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) was held on 01-02-2023 and was attended by 207 students from II
CSE. The aim of the workshop was to provide an in-depth understanding of ChatGPT, a language model
developed by OpenAI, and its various applications. Mr. R.Anuj Assistant Professor, Dept. of Computer
Science and Engineering,SVECW(A).

 ORGANIZED EVENTS

APPATHON - 23

In collaboration with Institutions Innovation Council, and Team CSE, SVECW organized the 24-
hour Android application development challenge APPATHON - 23 for 45 batches with 180 students on
01/04/2023 to 02/14/2023 in response to the Boot camp on Android App Development with JAVA
Language conducted on 17-18 March 2023. Industry Experts Mr. Tadi Pavan Kumar Reddy, Software
Developer Analyst (Trust & Safety) and Ms. Ch. Kamala Kumari, System Engineer, TCS. A two Days
BOOT camp is also conducted for students with industry experts on 17-18 March 2023.A total of five
teams will be selected as winners at the end of this competition. The competition is divided into three
phases (Idea Selection & Generation, Idea & UI Design Expo, and Idea Implementation). As a result of
the competition, students will be able to obtain valuable information that will assist them in their future
endeavors. A major part of our success is due to the passionate andsupportive Team CSE, as well as the
visionary management at SVECW, which includes theHead of CSE.Dr. M. Prasad, Associate Professor,
Department of CSE at SVECW, was the coordinator for this successful Android Application Development
contest APPATHON - 23.

KAVACH-2023

Department of Computer science and engineering at SVECW is organized KAVACH-2023 on March

28th . KAVACH-2023 is a unique opportunity for higher institutional Students and Startups in India to
submit their innovative ideas/concepts under the different problem statements. This event is going to be
conducted in physical mode in two phase’s viz. Initial Phase/Idea screening round and Grand Finale
round. In the Initial round the initially submitted ideas will be thoroughly screened and scrutinized and
the selected ones will be moved for the Grand Finale that will be held in the month of July-2023.
KAVACH 2023 will have two phases. The submitted ideas will be evaluated by a group of experts in the
field and only the innovative ideas will be selected for the Grand Finale or 2nd round. During the Grand
Finale, selected participants are expected to build the solution to demonstrate their concepts and prove to
the juries that their ideas are technically feasible and more importantly implementable.

 Technical Paper Presentation 2023

The department of Computer Science and Engineering has conducted Technical Paper
Presentation on behalf of “TechXtreme” club on 13.04.2023. No. of Participants: 134 Students
from B.Tech I Year students came forward to participate in this event. This competition will
focus on good oral presentation as focused, concise, and interesting in order to trigger a
discussion. Interesting presentation of their research/idea through power point presentation. Also
make students to think innovatively to do research on a particular topic and improve their
approach to present their idea. Final Winners are selected based on the guidelines followed and
uniqueness of the Technical Paper and content delivered, finally we came up with 6 Teams as
Winners.

Technical Poster Design and Presentation 2023

The department of Computer Science and Engineering has conducted Technical Poster Design and
Presentation on behalf of “TechXtreme” club on 04.04.2023. No. of Participants: 120 Students from
the B.Tech I Year students came forward to participate in this event. This competition will improve
student’s visual representation of their research/idea through text, charts, graphs, and other visual
aids. Also make students to think creatively and improve their approach to present their idea. Final
Winners are selected based on the guidelines followed and uniqueness of the Poster and content
delivered, finally we came up with 5 Teams as Winners.

 FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS

 Dr. P Kiran sree, Professor , Head of the department of CSE, SVECW have submitted a design patent
"Paper Scanning Machine based on Internet of Things" on 06-07-2022 with id 367333-001 is considered
by the Patent Office (Government of India. The patent was accepted & published on 14/04/2023.

 Dr. Dr.M.Prasad, Professor , CSE, SVECW Presented a Paper with Titled "COVID-19 prediction with
chest X-Ray images using CNN" in International Conferencegies in computing , electrical
electronics(IITCEE)-2023 and indexed in SCOPOUS.

 Mr. M . Narasimha Raju, Assistant Professor , CSE, SVECW Published a paper with title " IOT based
smart class room monitoring system using convolational neural networks in AIP conference procedings,
and indexed in SCOPOUS.

 Dr. V V R Maheswara Rao, Professor , CSE, SVECW Presented a Paper with Titled " A plausible RNN-
LSTM based profession recommendation system by predicting human personality types on social media
forums" on IEEE conference, , and indexed in SCOPOUS.

 Mrs P R Sudha Rani , Working as Associate Professor in CSE department, awarded Ph.D on 10/3/2023,
in the area of Data Mining with the title “ A multilevel filter based ensemble learning framework for
large biomedical disease datasets” in the department of Computer Science and Engineering from
Acharya Nagarjuna University, under the guidance of Prof.Dr.P Ramya.

 Mr. A Seenu, Working as Associate Professor in CSE department, awarded Ph.D on 10/3/2023, in the
area of Data Mining with the title “An efficient privacy preserving based machine learning models for
high dimensional databases” in the department of Computer Science and Engineering from Acharya
Nagarjuna University, under the guidance of Prof.Dr.G.S.Rao.

the FIRST prize in CHESS event held as a part of VIGNAN MAHOSTAV 2023 organized by vignan’s
foundation for Science , Technology& Research from 15th-17th Feb,2023.
