NOTES

 Work in a continuous spiral, do not join rounds or turn your work, unless
instructed otherwise in the pattern.
 Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the end or the beginning of a
round. Move the marker up after completing each round.
 All stitches are worked into both loops, unless instructed otherwise in the
pattern.
 Make sure to crochet tightly enough to achieve a tight gauge that will not
allow the stuffing to show through the fabric. You can use the same pattern
to make larger or smaller toys by using finer or bulkier yarn. Make sure to pick
a crochet hook at least a size smaller than suggested on the yarn label and
crochet tightly enough to achieve a tight gauge that will not allow the
stuffing to show through the fabric. You may also need to adjust the size of
the eyes.

MATERIALS NEEDED
1. Yarn YarnArt Jeans (50g/160m) – colors white (62), light green (11), cocoa
(87), light pink (74), light yellow (88). You will need no more than 1 skein in
the base color (87).
2. Yarn Alize Cotton gold Hobby (50g/115m) – color milk (62)
3. Hook 2mm
4. Filler (holofiber, sintepon, etc.)
5. 8 mm eyes
6. Pink or red color artistic pastel
7. Iris yarn for face decoration in black and white colors (you can replace Vita
COCO), as well as Jeans in ½ thread for embroidering a nose, color 40 (dark
brown).
Size: When using these materials bear turns 18 cm or 7.1 inches tall.

ABBREVIATIONS (US)

Tip: how to change the color of the yarn.

Crochet the last loop in the row as shown in
the photo. Then crochet a new row with a
new color.

In my pattern, I explain how to make a thread mount - this is a way of fixing the
arms and legs of a toy. However, they can spin. If you do not want to do this, then
you can simply sew your arms and legs in the usual way.
Thread mount (rotating legs and arms)
1) The approximate location of the arms and legs are found with the help of pins.
2) The most important thing that needs to be learned here is: insert and withdraw
the needle into ONE AND THE SAME hole between the st. Required.
3) At the end we tie several strong knots, they must “drown” between the st. Then
cut the thread and thread the ends into the toy.

Methods Thread mounting from different authors may differ. I offer you my
scheme.
Thread mounting scheme.

Thread mount hands step by step:
Introduce the needle into the place of attachment of the first hand (2), output at
the place of attachment of the second (3).
Grab a few rows of the second hand (4); we insert the needle back into the body,
we withdraw it at the place of attachment of the first hand (5).
Grab a few rows of the first hand (6). The thread can now be cut off, leaving the
long end (7). Tie these ends on tight knots, adjust the tension yourself. Should not
be too weak or too tight.

Thread mount legs step by step:
Introduce the needle between the legs from below and output at the
attachment point of the first leg (2). Grab a few rows of legs (3).
Introduce the needle back into the body and output at the attachment point of
the second leg (4).
Grab a few rows of the second leg (5). Then we insert the needle back into the
body, output it at the original point. There we tie a knot. The thread is cut off.

Body.
Start crocheting with cocoa color yarn.

Collar. Crochet on the 24th row of the body FLO.

Take white yarn, crochet hook. We insert the hook into the loop so that it is
directed towards the lower side of the body.

Crochet 4 ch, then 1 sc

st). Finish a row with sl st. Fasten and cut the thread.

Head.

I am using eyes that need to be glued (they look like half a bead). If you want to
use safety eyes, insert them on rows 14-15 at a distance of 8 sc.

In the last row, make 1 sl st as the end of the row, but
don’t cut the thread.
Crochet 50 ch and attach this chain on the opposite
side of the bag with1 sl st. Fasten and cut the thread.
Tip: fold the bag in half as shown in the photo. Then it
will be easier for you to find a place to attach the
chain.

Flowers 3 pcs.
1 row: in a magic ring (3 ch, 1 dc, 3 ch, 1 sl st) * 5.

Pull off the magic ring. Fasten the thread and leave a
long tail for sewing.

Leaves 2 pcs.
Crochet 6 ch. Crochet in the chains starting into the
second loop from the hook:
1 row: 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 dc, 1 sc.
Tie a knot of two thread tails; short tail - cut off, leave
long tail for sewing.

Assembly and design.
1. Sew the muzzle to the head in
rows 9-14. Stuff while sewing.

2. Make eye deepening. Use pins to mark the

location of the eyes. They are located near the upper
edge of the muzzle and 2 sc from it.

Insert the needle at the bottom of the head between

the stitches (leaving the tail of the thread outside) and
pull it out next to the pin. Move aside about 1 sc and
insert the needle into the head. Pull out the needle at
the original point.

Tie the two tails of the thread on a strong knot, while

adjusting the depth of the eye socket. Tie a few more
knots, do not cut off the tails of the thread.

Make another indentation for the eye on the other

side. Then tie all 4 tails of the threads on a strong knot
and cut off the excess length.

3. Glue the eyes in the places of
the deepening. The glue should dry
for 15-20 minutes, but for now we will
embroider the nose.
4. Embroider the nose on the
second row of the muzzle. To do this,
I use Jeans yarn, but I divide the
thread into 2 parts (that is, I take 2
threads out of four).

First we embroider the triangle and then fill it with vertical

stitches.

When the entire triangular area is filled, sew one stitch

from each edge of the nose and one horizontal stitch on
top.

Then pull the needle out at the bottom of the muzzle to

make one vertical stitch towards the nose. Fasten and
cut the thread.

5. Embroider the white part of the eye. We insert the

needle and pull it close to the eye.

6. Embroider the black part of the eye and the eyebrow.

7. Sew on ears on 15-20 rows of the head. Please note that

the ears have a small indentation in the middle.

8. Sew the head to the

body. The head is slightly
tilted forward (this can be
seen from the photo in
profile).

9. Sew flowers to the

head, then sew 2 leaves next
to the extreme flowers.

10. Sew hands on a thread

mount. The place of
attachment to the body (if
you sew according to my
scheme of thread
attachment, which is at the
beginning of this pattern with
a crochet, it will be photo 2)
is approximately on the 18th
row. Hands are in line with the
ears.

11. Sew on the legs using
a thread mount. The
attachment point to the
body is between the 8th
and 9th rows (in my
scheme, this is also photo
2 for the legs).
