APPLIATIONS & TECHNICAL DATA
1.1Application
The present valve is designed and constructed as a kind of opening and closing mechanism
for controlling the flow of medium. It is suitable for using in pipelines for corrosive or corrosion
resistance at different temperatures depending on different nature of the material selected for the
diaphragm and lining.
1.1.2 The recommended application range of various lining materials:
2.1 This valve and pneumatic actuator series is a new generation product manufactured with the
knowhow imported from Saunders Valve CO, Britain.
2.2 The most difference between the diaphragm valve and other valves is that the former one is
specially designed without the stuffing box, So the fault of the stuffing hole leakage is leakage is
eliminated, By means of the diaphragm, the corrosive medium will be absolutely isolated with all
driving parts so as to root out the common fault of “escaping, emitting, dropping and leaking” in
normal valves.
2.3 An almost resistance-free max flow could be achieved, for the valve passage is equal to the
pipeline on diameter and is convenient for cleaning.
2.4 The smooth inner passage permits an easy pass of fluid with suspended granules or corrosive
mud.
25
2.5 The surface of inner cavity of the valve body is lined with a variety of selectable rubber.
Therefore, it has excellent anticorrosive for most of the media with a large extent .
2.6 The element: used for sealing is a rubber diaphragm which is rich in elasticity and so is is
hermetic.
2.7 The valve mainly consists of body、 bonnet,、stem、disc、 diaphragm and actuator.
2.8 The significant technical improvement has been adopted in the structure design of this valve
series, It takes the design of open rod with colored on/off indicator instead of the original structure
of blind rod which often results accidents because of maloperation, therefore, the on/off stroke
position of the valve can be monitored on-site so as to ensure a safety operation.

IV. MAINTENANCE & INSTALLATION
4.1 Keep all valves stored in a well-ventilated dry room. Don’t stack up.
4.2 Both ends of the valve passage should be well sealed during the storage to prevent the
damages to the sealing parts, caused by foreign bodies.
4.3 Wipe up the machined metal surfaces of the valve carefully. An anti-rusting coating is
necessary.
4.4 NO oil or grease could be applied on the surfaces of the rubber lining or diaphragm. The
dissolution or expansion of the rubber parts, otherwise, will severely shorten the service life.
4.5 When transporting or installing, never tie the hoisting cable at the handweel or stem prohibit to
bump the valve with other metals or hard substances for fear to damage the parts and lining.
4.6 Before connecting into the pipe system, please check the actual running conditions and media
carefully to confirm they are in accordance with the specified applications of the valve. Any
accidental loss caused by improper selection should be prevented.
4.7 This valve can be installed at any position in pipelines for two-way flowing except being used
in the vacuum pipeline.
4.8 Please clean the inner surface of the body before installing to further prevent the sealing parts
from being clogged or damaged by dirt. To check whether all connecting bolts have been fastened
evenly and tightly is a plus.
4.9 Please check frequently the parts exposed to the media during operation. And replace those
wearing parts periodically, according to the actual operating situations.
4.10 If the valve is used for an intermittent service, please clean all parts exposed to the media
during the rest period to extend service life.
4.11 When replacing the diaphragm, be carefully not to fasten it too tight or too loose.
4.12When control the valve by hand, never open or close the valve with the help of any lever for
fear to damage the driving or sealing parts because of the too large torque.
27
4.13 Any repaired valve should pass a relevant sealing test before application. The maintenance
record should be specifically taken down for reference later.
