Dear Craig Alexander,

Thank you for accepting the offer of a place as a Full Time student to read for a BSc
Banking and Finance, Special in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the St. Augustine
Campus of The University of the West Indies for September 2024 of the 2024/2025
academic year commencing 25-Aug-24.

The offer of admission is valid only for the 2024/2025 academic year, and is made subject
to the University General Regulations for Students.

Your Student Identification Number (Student ID) is 816043990. Kindly quote your student
registration number on all correspondence to the University hereafter.

Please note carefully the following condition pertaining to this offer: -

 This is an offer based on your performance in the 2023 (CXC) Caribbean


Advanced Proficiency (CAPE) Unit I or Unit II examinations and your current
registration for CAPE Unit I or Unit II examinations in 2024. This excludes grades
received in Communication Studies and Caribbean Studies.

You have been accepted as a National and would be eligible to pay fees applicable to this
category.

Citizens of Trinidad & Tobago who accept an offer to attend The University of the West
Indies and are applying for GATE funding must register for a GATE e-Service ID. You must
also submit your application for GATE funding online using your GATE e-Service ID. Failure
to do so will result in you being unable to access GATE tuition funding for the 2024/2025
academic year and you will be required to pay your own tuition fees. Please refer to The
GATE e-Service Process for information and instructions on applying for GATE funding.
Non-Nationals who accept an offer in the Faculty of Medical Sciences ONLY, in order to
secure your space, you will be required to: -
a. Pay a minimum non-refundable deposit of 50% of the tuition fee for the
First Year of your programme of study by 23-Mar-24. Deposit payments
are considered as part-payment of the tuition fee. Please refer to our
Undergraduate Financial Information booklet for further information.
OR
b. Provide by 23-Mar-24 evidence of scholarship/funding indicating a
guarantee for payment of your tuition fees.
You are reminded that your offer of admission is subject to you, your Government or
other sponsor/donor, guaranteeing in advance of your registration payments of all
requisite fees for each year of your programme of study.
Tuition fees depend on the programme of study and the number of credits [except for
the Faculty of Medical Sciences] for which a student registers. A registration invoice
reflecting actual costs will be generated once you have selected your courses online.

The University reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a place if the financial and other
requirements of the University are not fulfilled.

Medical Form

All students registering at the St. Augustine Campus of The University of the West Indies
must submit a completed Medical Form. Please refer to the Medical Form for
information and instructions.

Faculty Orientation, Academic Advising & Registration

The University opens on 25-Aug-24 and registration begins on 19-Aug-24. Please visit the
Registration website for details and information on Faculty Orientation, Academic
Advising schedules and the registration process. You are advised to pay particular
attention to the dates and times assigned for Faculty Orientation, Academic Advising and
the registration instructions.

Please note that ALL undergraduate students must attend their respective Faculty
Orientation and Academic Advising sessions before beginning online course selection.

PASSWORD (your Date of Birth YYYYMMDD). You are required to change your password
on the initial log-in.
