4.Before you do the crossloading procedure, on
the P/N STATUS page:
· Read the P/N of the software component that
you want to crossload
· Make sure that this P/N is different from the P/
N on the media disk.
NOTE: The software components that you can crossload (FM1 to FM2 on MCDU1 or FM2 to FM1 on
MCDU2) on the related P/N STATUS page are:
- The Flight Management System (FMS) Operational Program software component with the
FMS Operational Program media disk (1CA0M3) or the FMS Operational Program CD-
ROM (1CAMD7)
(page 2: FMS SOFTWARE)
- The Navigation Database with the Active Nav Database media-disk
(page 3: NAV DATA BASE)
- The AMI file with the applicable media disk
(page 4: FM AIRLINE CONFIG (AMI))
- The OPC file with the FMS Option Configuration media disk (1CA0M1) or the FMS Option
Configuration CD-ROM (1CAMD5)
(page 5: FM OPTIONS CONFIG (OPC))
- The Performance Database with the FMS Performance Database media disk (1CA0M2) or
the FMS Performance Database CD-ROM (1CAMD6)

A. Crossloading Procedure
- If you crossload one software component (for example: the Navigation Database), it is neces-
sary to use the related P/N STATUS page (page no.3).
- If you crossload all the software components, it is necessary to use the P/N XLOAD page (page
no.1). Only the different components are crossloaded.
NOTE: On MCDU1 and MCDU2, the two amber IND annunciator-lights are on and the INDEPENDENT
OPERATION indication is shown in the scratchpad.
(1) You can use the MCDU related to the side from which you will do the crossloading.
ACTION RESULT
1.On the MCDU: On the MCDU:
