    I Brief History: The town got its name from a plant called Balambang which grew in the place. As years passed by the plant became extinct in the vicinity. It has big territorial coverage the municipality of Alcala, Bautista, Sto. Tomas, Rosales, Paniqui, Gerona and Camiling were once part of old Bayambang. II The place: Today the town was reduced after the aforementioned municipality attained municipal status. In late 16th century the town founded by an aeta known as agalet. Formerly pres. Emilio Aguinaldo made Bayambang his temporary capital of Pangasinan. The town are approximately Latitude of 15 43 north 15 41 north , Longitude of 120 21 eat 120 33 east, Total hectares of 16,800, Agricultural 12,225 hectares, Commercial of 9.5 hectares, Institutional size of 68 hectares, Total of Barangay 77, 11 rural 66 urban and the totality of Population105,887. III The People: Most famous personalities who ever lived to the town is the girlfriend of Dr. Jose Rizal named Leonora Rivera of Camiling Tarlac old Bayambang. Also the mother and father of celebrity Donita Rose, Jose Palma who was written the lyrics of our Philippine National Anthem. Gen. Antonio Luna who built a camp along the old Bayambang. And our beloved and hardworking Hon. Mayor Ricardo Ric Camacho who graduated here at SLU. IV Economic Activities: Our economic activies of our town are Modern landlines, Communication for modernized and communicable town. If you want a fast and hasslefree trip to Manila or NCR you need to past by our 85% road wayout to Camiling Tarlac. Our water source is from BWD Bayambang Water District. Electricity is supplied by NAPOCOR through CENPELCO, Central Pangasinan Electric Corporation. Our proudly products and traditions are the mangga, mais, palay, rice crackers and the fish buro. Religious practices like prusisyon and the native dance is called Binasuan.

    Our town are not blessed a tourist spots, so sad. The infrastructure there is the old and historical Saint Vincent Ferrer Church. The Pangasinan State University is one of the best college of education,Pangasinan. Our town is applicable for investors and now have two malls CSI and Royal Mall but not that so big. And that the brief story and introduction of our town, Bayambang.
