RE: Governor J.B. Pritzker’s Leadership – A Proven Model for National Prosperity

Vice President Kamala Harris,

As leaders in the Illinois business community, we are writing to express our unwavering support
for Governor J.B. Pritzker. His leadership has not only revitalized our state’s economy but has also
positioned Illinois as a beacon of opportunity and innovation. Governor Pritzker’s tenure has been marked
by fiscal responsibility, job creation, and a commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment that
attracts companies from across the nation.

From the moment he took office, Governor Pritzker faced an immense challenge. He inherited a
state teetering on the brink of insolvency, with a budget crisis that threatened our economic stability. Yet,
he did not shy away from the task. Instead, he hunkered down, rolled up his sleeves, and set about righting
the financial ship of Illinois. Through collaboration with the General Assembly and a willingness to work
across party lines, he developed and implemented sound fiscal policies that have put Illinois back on solid
ground.

Under Governor Pritzker’s stewardship, Illinois has seen a remarkable transformation. He has
successfully passed six balanced budgets, achieving this by creating government efficiencies and fostering
economic development. His fiscal discipline has not only eliminated the budget deficit but also created a
surplus and established a rainy-day fund to safeguard our future. These efforts have resulted in an
unprecedented nine credit rating upgrades, restoring confidence in our state’s financial health.

Governor Pritzker’s pro-business stance has been a catalyst for job creation and economic growth.
He has introduced incentives that have attracted numerous companies to Illinois, generating thousands of
new jobs for our residents. Notable successes include Rivian in electric vehicles, Wieland Metals in electric
vehicle supplies, Nexamp in solar energy, PsiQuantum in quantum computing, and initiatives in sustainable
aviation fuel. His vision for a greener, more sustainable future has made Illinois the epicenter of green
energy and electric vehicle manufacturing. These industries are not only providing high-quality jobs but
are also positioning Illinois as a leader in technological innovation and the fight against climate change.

The Governor’s dedication to fostering a thriving business environment is evident in the numerous
initiatives he has championed. From infrastructure improvements to workforce development programs, his
policies have created fertile ground for businesses to grow and prosper. His leadership has ensured that
Illinois remains competitive on the national stage, drawing investment and innovation to our state.

Governor Pritzker has demonstrated time and again that he is a responsible fiscal steward and a
visionary leader. His ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver tangible results has earned him the
respect and admiration of both the business community and the citizens of Illinois. His leadership during
times of crisis, particularly in the face of unprecedented economic challenges, has been nothing short of
exemplary.

It is for these reasons that we, the undersigned business leaders, believe Governor J.B. Pritzker
would make an outstanding Vice President of the United States. His proven track record of fiscal
responsibility, job creation, and bipartisan collaboration would make him an ideal partner in the White
House. His leadership has not only benefited Illinois but has also set a standard for what effective
governance can achieve. As we look to the future, we are confident that his vision and expertise will
continue to drive positive change, both in Illinois and across the nation.

Sincerely,

Curt R. Bailey, President of Related Midwest
