And So I Picked Up a Book
R.V. Villamar

Curled up in my little nook,

I think it would be bold,
For me to say out loud
My books that I display,
They come with parts, you see.

These covers take a look,

Some pages may be old,
A spine that cannot be bowed,
The title is just okay,
But in the pictures, they show me!

Come read with me this book

That my little hands can hold.
The words the writer allowed
Would take the blues away -
It makes me squeal with glee.
