Following breakfast, we will set out for the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung border or the
friendship bridge at the Nepal-Tibet border where we will clear customs and
immigration paperworks. In about six hours total, we will reach Kerung (also known
as Gyirung), the first village in Tibet.
In the morning, we will have breakfast in Kyirong and then we will start riding
towards Old Tingri via Peikucuo Lake. From Old Tingri if the weather is good then
you will have a good view of Mt. Everest and Cho Oyu as well.

Day 3: Old Tingri - Everest Base Camp
Attractions: Rongbuk monastery and Mt. Everest base camp
Today we will ride straight to Old Tingri. Continuous ride towards south-east, from
Old Tingri you will be amazed by the spectacular Himalayan Ranges and its mighty
peaks beyond 8000m, Mt.Makalu (8463m), Mt.Lhotse (8516m), Mt.Everest (8844m)
and Mt.Cho Oyu (8201m) from Left to Right, Ride off the main road and head into
the valley to the south to the day’s destination - Everest Base Camp located in the
Rongbuk valley. Rongbuk is the highest monastery in the world and it consists of
both monks and nuns. Afternoon you have an option to do a short trekking from the
tent guesthouses community to E.B.C, it will take you about 2 hours or more per
your physical condition (6Km). Or you can take the dedicated minibus instead. We
suggest you bring your own sleeping bags for the night if available as the local tent
guesthouses reuse the blankets for several weeks due to their poor facility.

Every effort will be made to adhere to the planned itinerary. Due to weather
conditions and reasons beyond company control, changes to the itinerary might
occur, for which the company accepts no responsibility.
Insurance:
There is no personal insurance of any kind included in the tour price. Travel
insurance should be obtained from your place of residence, before
commencement of trip. Destination for Adventures will not be held liable for any
illness, injury or death sustained during a tour.
Payment Procedure:
We need 50% advance payment and a balance you can pay on arrival. Tour
payment should be remitted in favor of “Destination for Adventures”
Reservation Policy:
All reservations have to be sent by email. Bookings will be received for all dates
irrespective of high season or low season at any time of the year.
