SECTION 2 INSTRUCTIONS

Part-66 requires applicants for the issue and amendment of an Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) to provide evidence of practical maintenance experience
on operating aircraft. In addition, all AML holders must be capable of demonstrating that they have six months of maintenance experience, in accordance with
the privileges granted by the AML, in the preceding two-year period.

This log book should assist applicants in demonstrating their experience and it will allow assessment of compliance with the relevant experience requirements
to be made more readily. Maintenance experience should be written up in a manner that the reader has a reasonable understanding of where, when and what
maintenance constitutes the experience.

The maintenance experience should be entered in the logbook by the logbook holder on completion of the task. Individual e ntries should be confirmed by the
verifier at the time that the experience is gained. In confirming the entry, the verifier is certifying that the holder has performed the task. The verifier should enter
his/her signature and either authorisation number, authorisation stamp or aircraft maintenance licence number.

The verifier can be a supervisor or other person designated for that purpose in a Part-145 or Part-M sub-part F maintenance organisation, or for maintenance
experience gained outside of an approved maintenance organisation by the holder of an AML who has regular professional contact with the logbook holder.

All entries should be made in ink. Dates entered should follow the format DD/MM/YY. Each entry should identify the aircraft and engine combination on which
the experience was gained. See example on maintenance experience record page (Section 5).
