Dear Participant!

My name is Ulker Isayeva, and I am a researcher from the Khazar University. I would like to
invite you to take part in a study that aims to investigate people’s thoughts, emotions and
behaviors connected with their jobs. The project is carried out by the international team led
by Dr. Edyta Charzyńska from the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland, and Dr. Paweł
Atroszko from the University of Gdańsk, Poland. The study is conducted in over 50 countries
from 6 continents and is supported by the National Science Centre in Poland.

You can participate in this study if you meet the following criteria:
– you live in Azerbaijan, and you are an Azerbaijani citizen,
– you are an adult,
– you work in an organization with at least 10 employees in total,
– you have been working for your present employer at least for a year,
– you work full-time.

The study takes about 15-20 minutes and is anonymous.

Please complete the questionnaire carefully. No responses are right or wrong. What is
important for us are sincere answers, reflecting what you really think and feel.
As a thank-you for your participation, after completing the questionnaire, you will see your
results with a straightforward description. This will provide you with important and valuable
psychological information, which may help you better understand yourself, your behaviors,
and especially your functioning at work. In this way, it may help you gain a better insight into
your strengths and weaknesses.

Yours faithfully,
Ulker Isayeva

Think of this ladder as representing where people stand in Azerbaijan.

At the top of the ladder (rung 10) are the people who are the best off – those

who have the most money, the best education, and the most respected jobs.
At the bottom (rung 1) are the people who are the worst off – who have the
least money, least education, and the least respected jobs or no job. The
higher up you are on this ladder, the closer you are to the people at the very
top; the lower you are, the closer you are to the people at the very bottom.

Where would you place yourself on this ladder?

Please, write the number of the rung, where you think you stand at this time in
your life, relative to other people in Azerbaijan.

Thank you very much for your participation!

Your results
Below you will find feedback from your survey, which can be very useful in gaining a broader
perspective on how you function at work, the risks associated with excessive stress at work, and
their potential causes due to the work environment or individual factors such as personality.

The scores marked in red indicate the areas that may be associated with high work-related
stress and impaired psychological functioning.

Your results can be printed or saved to your device by clicking here.

NOTE: These results do not constitute a psychological diagnosis but are only an
approximate estimate of the severity of certain traits and phenomena.

In case of worrying results, such as an indication of work addiction or work-related depression,

further clinical assessments are necessary that could confirm or rule out the possible diagnosis.
If you are concerned by the results, for example, that you are at high risk of work-related addiction
or work-related depression and burnout, for more information on available forms of psychological
support or means of improving your psychological functioning, including those you can
implement by yourself, please visit…………………………….
On this website you will also find a detailed description of the interpretation and meaning of your

need to rest.

Your work-related depression score is:

Criterion met: Your scores indicate depression caused by work-related stress.

Criterion unmet: Your scores indicate the absence of depression caused by work-related stress.
This does not mean that you do not have depression at all, as it is possible that you experience
depressive symptoms, but they are not work-related. Also, you may not have depression at all. To
test for depression unrelated to work, different methods have to be used.
