INTRODUCTION

“Inter” means “between.”“Intra” means “within.”The “internet”

is a web between many networks. An “intranet” is a web within a
network. The internet connects many people to many websites
and many networks. An intranet connects people within a
network. So your intranet is simply a website within your
company’s network that (mostly) only employees can access.

OBJECTIVES

 The objectives of the system are:

 To reduce paperwork.

 Reduced operational time.

 Increased accuracy and reliability.

 Increased operational efficiency.

 Data security.

This website can be readily used by non-programming personal

avoiding human handled chance of error. This project is used by
two types of users:

 Employees

 Admin

Admin can maintain daily updates in details and print reports

according to need. Administrator is must be an authorized user.
Application can be upgraded according to user’s and
administrator’s requirements with little changes. New features
can be added as per requirements.

SCOPE OR PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The real-world intranet has a wonderfully broad scope, and

organizations must look at the whole picture to create a business
tool that is an essential part of day-to-day work.
The five essential purposes of an intranet:
 Deliver content
 Be a key communication tool
 Enable collaboration
 Support the culture
 Create efficiencies through supporting business activities

MODIFICATION AND IMPROVEMENT OVER THE EXISTING

IMPLEMENTATION
 Present State:
 Time consumed in accessing the records of the
employees.
 In existing system not much interactive interface and
design of website.
 The present website not reflects the culture of
organization.
 The pages and content are not that much dynamic.
 Existing system are based upon asp.net and Sql server
2005.
 After implementation of project:
 Easy to use GUI.

 Now implemented project or website is based upon

php, server apache and database we shall be use
MySql.
 In implemented project we shall be added extra
modules like chat room for employees, a corner for
birthday wishes for employees and also flushing
important news events in the homepage and also in
employee login portal also.

SOME LIST OF MODULES ON WHICH I AM CURRENTY

WORKING
1. Generation reports module:
1.1 Under this module we would be generate the
reports, project wise and the report generation in
format of .pdf extension files.

2. Department reports module:

2.1 Under this module we would be generate the reports
accordingly different-2 department basics.

3. News & updates flashing on home page module:

3.1 In under this module we should done flushing on the
home page current or latest news or events related
organisation.
3.2 News and updates will update the employees within
the organisation whatever going in the organisation.
3.3 On this module we would not allow any restriction
on the updates and news, everyone sees these
updates and news on the home page within the
website.

4. Company documents module:

4.1 On this module we should done the uploading
company documents to use of employees according
their need.
4.2 Only gives some privileges (revoke and grant)
according some admin or person to through the
document should be uploaded to through this
module.
5. Employee record module:
5.1 Individual updation also under this module.
5.2 And bulk upload by user or employee.

6. Employee claims module:

6.1 Under this module we would allow to individual
employee an interface first they login by their user
id and password.
6.2 In under that we would create or make medical, TA,
mobile or telephone and other miscellaneous claims
form, and to by one click you claim entry enter

7. In employee corner some kind discussion or chat

forums module:
7.1 Under this module with a new modern feature
technique we should create a forum or you say chat
room for discussion to sharing the views or ideas of
different -2 kinds of employees within the
organisation.

8. Birthday wishes and special occasion wishes for each

& selected employee module:

8.1 Under this module we would be generate or flushing

the birthday of employees with name or department
(designation) on the home page of the website.
According to through backend database we would
pick the data (date of birth) we would generate the
birthday wish on the website home page day by day.
8.2 Under this module we should be allow to flushing
the message on important occasions like (Diwali,
Holi etc) for each employees .

9. Special messages & notices to all employees module:

9.1 Under this module we should be generate or
flushing the important notice or special messages on
the home page of the intranet website.
9.2 These special messages and notices are displayed to
all employees within the organisation.
