Date: 4th Sep 2024 Venue: E-316/E-322

Evaluating projects for Eurethon 2k24 thorough assessment of various aspects to ensure that
solutions are both innovative and viable. Here are key evaluation parameters to consider:

1. Innovation and Creativity

 Originality: Evaluate the uniqueness of the solution. Does it introduce a novel concept or
approach that sets it apart from existing solutions?
 Creativity: Consider how creatively the solution addresses the problem. Are there innovative
features or ideas that enhance its value and effectiveness?

2. Technical Feasibility
 Technical Complexity: Assess whether the solution demonstrates advanced technical skills and
a strong understanding of the technology involved. Is the technology used effectively and
appropriately?
 Implementation: Examine the execution of the solution. Are technical challenges well-
managed, and is the solution robust and reliable?

3. Practicality and Usability

 Real-world Applicability: Determine how practical and applicable the solution is in real-world
scenarios. How easily can it be implemented and scaled?
 User Experience: Evaluate the ease of use and accessibility of the solution. Is the design
intuitive and user-friendly for its intended audience?

4. Impact and Benefits

 Problem-Solving: Assess how effectively the solution addresses the problem statement. What
is its potential impact on the target audience or issue?
 Societal or Environmental Benefits: Consider any additional benefits the solution may provide,
such as positive social or environmental impacts.

5. Sustainability
 Long-Term Viability: Review the plan for sustaining and scaling the solution over time. Does
it include strategies for funding, resource management, and long-term impact?
 Resource Efficiency: Evaluate how efficiently the solution uses resources. Does it minimize
waste and support environmental sustainability?
6. Presentation and Communication
 Clarity: Assess how clearly the solution is presented. Are the objectives, process, and results
communicated effectively and understandably?
 Demo Quality: Evaluate the quality of the demonstration. Does it effectively showcase the
functionality and benefits of the solution?

7. Team Collaboration and Execution

 Teamwork: Consider the effectiveness of team collaboration. Was there clear communication
and a well-organized division of tasks among team members?
 Execution: Assess how well the team managed their time and resources during the hackathon.
Did they meet deadlines and deliverables?

8. Adherence to Problem Statement

 Relevance: Evaluate how closely the solution aligns with the problem statement. Does it
address all critical aspects and requirements outlined?
 Solution Accuracy: Check if the solution accurately solves the problem as defined. Is it reliable
and effective in addressing the issue?

9. Solution Readiness
 Development Stage: Assess the maturity of the solution. Is it in a prototype stage, fully
developed, or somewhere in between?
 Preparation for Implementation: Evaluate how ready the solution is for deployment. Are there
any remaining development or testing phases?

10. Solution Demonstration

 Effectiveness: Review how effectively the solution is demonstrated. Does the demo clearly
illustrate the solution’s functionality and benefits?
 Engagement: Assess how engaging and persuasive the demonstration is. Does it convincingly
show the solution’s value and potential impact?

These evaluation criteria provide a comprehensive framework for assessing projects, ensuring that
both innovative and practical aspects are considered in determining the overall value of the
solutions.
