HOW TO BE A LIFE-LONG LEARNER?
The benefits of being a lifelong learner are as vast and varied as the ways to
become one: increased competence and confidence, a sense of purpose and
satisfaction, an ability to adapt to change and overcome challenges, greater
employability, and so on. Here are 3 steps you can take to begin the rewarding, never-
ending process of personal learning:
1. Make a commitment and focus
Becoming a lifelong learner takes dedication, discipline, and focus. The first
step in becoming one is committing to doing so. Promise yourself you’ll spend a
portion of time dedicated to learning and improving your knowledge and skills. One
way to stay true to your commitment is by scheduling your learning time. Try to set
aside a little bit of time each day that you’ll dedicate to learning and nothing else. But
avoid the urge to multitask and take on too many things at once. Make sure you
proceed step-by-step.
2. Read!
Reading is key to adult education and raising lifelong learners, and it is the best
way to gain new perspectives, think differently, learn how others struggle and thrive,
and expand your ideas of what's possible.
Novels, essays, memoirs, poetry collections, blog posts, magazine stories,

newspapers, and articles—read it all. If you are going to start your lifelong learning
journey anywhere, do it by choosing something to read.
But if you are not a natural reader, don’t give up! You don’t have to make it a
chore. You should start with one book that simply interests you, stay open to finding
new interests, and work reading into your daily life.
3. Be curious
Learners need to be open-minded. You have to be open to new experiences,

good and bad, and what they can teach you. And do not be afraid of something new
outside your comfort zone. Because curiosity is at the heart of all questions, always
ask questions—of yourself, of people you know, of the internet. When you don't
understand something at work, are confused by what a friend is saying, or don't
understand a news reference, ask.
Curiosity yields questions, asking questions yields answers, and gaining

knowledge is what lifelong learning is all about.
WHAT MAKES A GOOD TEAM MEMBER?
Team members play a critical role in the success of any project or organization.
People tend to believe teams must work really hard to be considered good, but when
we want to build an effective team, there are other important team player skills that
need to be embraced to ensure a team’s success, collaboration, high performance, and
long-term sustainability. In this article, we’ll explore the three qualities and skills that
every manager should look for in potential team members:
1. Open to help teammates
An effective team player isn’t just focused on individual tasks; they are also
willing to help out their teammates when needed. They understand the importance of
teamwork and recognize that it takes everyone’s effort to reach the group’s goal.
These types of team players offer support and guidance whenever possible,
even if it’s not directly related to their own responsibilities. They go out of their way
to lend a helping hand and offer assistance, even if the task is outside of their job
description.
2. Practices effective communication
Strong communication skills are necessary for any team to succeed. Great
teammates are those who communicate effectively, whether it’s in person or through
written means.
They express their ideas confidently and clearly while also paying attention to
what other team members have to say. Effective communication means using
language that everyone can understand, being clear when expressing ideas and
opinions, and being polite even when disagreeing. It also means having the courage to
ask questions if something isn’t clear.
WAYS TO MAKE YOUR CITY A BETTER PLACE?
Cities are the action arm of civilization. They are engines of creativity and
innovation. They are dynamic, complex, and evolving systems, but these dynamics
can produce unintended or unforeseen outcomes. Therefore, the following are the
essential ingredients required to achieve a better place:
1. Plant more trees
There’s no doubt that plants, whatever their colors are, make everything look
more lively and striking. Put some colorful plants in front of your house door or plant
more colorful varieties on your lawn. Kiosk owners can also get plant pots to decorate
the kiosk’s front with greenery. Plants are known to do more than just add beauty to a
place; they also make the air fresher and cleaner, so having more plants in your city
also helps save the environment.
2. Low crime rate
Everyone, of course, wants to live in a place where they can feel secure about
their home and property and where they can enjoy the freedom of walking down a
street without fear. Reducing crime rates can also help keep a lid on taxes that are
associated with paying for police protection, rehabilitation programs, halfway houses,
jails, prisons, and the criminal justice system. The government can do a number of
things to lower crime rates. These include: providing better education and job
opportunities for people; increasing police presence in high-crime areas; and passing
laws that make it harder for criminals to get away with their crimes.
3. Be a kind and friendly neighbor to your community
Getting along well with your neighbors makes your community a happier and
better place to live. The key to being a good neighbor is clear and consistent
communication. Introduce yourself to your neighbors, and then stay in contact over
time. Try to be courteous by keeping your noise levels low and your yard well-
maintained.
