MAC KING'S “MAGIC IN A MINUTE”

“The Mac King Comedy Magic Show” is one of the most popular, well-reviewed shows in Las Vegas.
Now King reveals his hysterical, strange and often silly tricks in this weekly comic. An illustrated Mac King
teaches readers how to pull off gut-busting gags with easy-to-follow directions full of witty asides and jokes.

Mac King, a talented comic magician became interested in magic at a very young age with the help of his
grandfathers, who were both amateur magicians. He started doing shows for friends and family, and continued to
develop his talent through college, where he spent his summer vacations performing in a two-person magic act
with fellow Kentucky magician Lance Burton.

After graduating from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minn. with a degree in anthropology, King took his show
on the road, eventually headlining all the major comedy clubs in America.

King met his wife Jennifer at one of his shows, where she was a volunteer from the audience. They married in
Louisville, Kentucky in 1985.

King has performed all over the world, both onstage and on television, in Spain, Japan, Australia, Denmark,
Sweden, England, Argentina, Holland, Finland, Canada, Chile and Portugal. He moved to Los Angeles in 1987,
where his amazing visual style of magic and offbeat, but decidedly friendly approach to comedy eventually caught
the eye of the producers of popular '80s stand-up comedy TV shows like An Evening at the Improv and Comic
Strip Live.

King has made numerous television appearances on such shows as “Houdini: Unlocking His Secrets,” “The
World's Wildest Magic,” “An Evening at the Improv,” “Comic Strip Live,” “Penn & Teller's Sin City Spectacular,”
“Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus” starring Cybill Sheppard, the “Donny and Marie Show,” “The
Other Half;” and was featured at home on “Home and Garden Television.” King has the distinction of being the
only performer to have appeared on all five of NBC's “World's Greatest Magic Shows.” King can also be seen on
the television specials “Magic Road Trip” airing on the Travel Channel, and “Lance Burton©ˆs Guerilla Magic” on
Animal Planet this summer, in the television special “The Greatest Magic Tricks In the Universe — Ever” airing on
England’s Ch. 5 UK this fall, and in the documentary “Now That’s Funny,” to be released by Tricoast Studios later
this year.

In the past, King was working on the road an average of 220 days a year. Since moving to Las Vegas, he has
appeared in many shows across The Strip including Spellbound at Harrah’s Las Vegas Casino & Hotel, The
Great Radio City Music Hall Spectacular at Flamingo Las Vegas, at The Desert Inn with comedian Rita Rudner,
and Splash! at the Riviera. In January 2000, King began a two-year run with his current one-man show, The Mac
King Comedy Magic Show at Harrah’s Las Vegas Casino & Hotel, which has since been extended through
2006.

Bill King was voted "America's Greatest Cartoonist" 7 years in a row by the League of American Cartoonist's.
This is a great source of pride for him as well as his lovely wife Joetta who coincidentally not only Chairs the
League of American Cartoonist's but is also its sole member. Bill started cartooning early in life, taught by his
father Lewis who while a talented cartoon artist in his own right, served as the subject of his father's (Bill's
grandfather) comic strip. The strip was titled "Tinker the Thinker" and it ran in several newspapers back in the
40's and 50’s. It is rumoured that this strip was the inspiration for Dennis The Menace by no one but Bill and his
father.

Bill was born in Chicago but was raised in Dunwoody, Ga. where he developed an "odd" accent and a lack of
fashion sense. After graduating from The University of Mississippi in 1989 with a BFA in Graphic Design he
headed to Chicago in search of a job that would utilize both his passion for skipping class and his ability to spell
Mississippi.

For the past 10 years Bill has been gainfully employed as an illustrator, graphic designer and toy designer
specializing in children's premiums (the little toys that come in cereal boxes). He has also contributed artwork to
several magazines and books.

Bill currently resides in Chicago with his wife Joetta and a really fat cat whose name changes daily.

A few words of background from this collector... An Avid AOM Member.

It is with great pleasure that my collection of pretty well all of Mac King’s “Magic in a Minute” series, has found a
home. Within this ebook I have compiled for your enjoyment a good assortment of them. Yes, I do have more!

My collection began back in 2004 with my first exposure to this wonder filled and comical series, with “Limey
Chimey” which was published on Halloween of that year.

Little did I know that these weekly comic strips of his often silly, gut-busting gags, magic tricks and jokes would
become habit forming, and I had to collect as many as I could... and did, until such time came for Mac King to move
on to even better things.

With well over one hundred visits to his publisher’s site, until December 2, 2007, I faithfully gathered each new
weekly addition with absolutely no idea of what I would do with them all once they ceased being available.

The only remaining reference that I can find is at... http://magicinaminute.com/comics.htm, but it will give you an idea
of their structure. As well, you will see where/how the concept has been expanded upon by Mac King.

It is with great regret that an issue or more may have evaded my collective abilities. I have not been able to
determine what strips are missing, if indeed any are, but do feel that there surely may be ones I missed.

In any case, I am so grateful for the ones I do have here, and some left over for a Bonus Book if interest prevails.

Some strips in the series may have been duplicated. If so, they’re included as presented within the time frame.

It is obvious that any collection is much better shared and enjoyed by others of like interest, so without any further
ado; I highly suggest that you dive into this wonderful collective art with an open heart and mind, to bring out your
inner child through these Mac King, MAGIC IN A MINUTE, comic strips!

The little kid in me collected and compiled them strictly for my own pleasure, and now they are yours to Enjoy!

As you may see by my example, they can become habit forming.

Well, the time has come to end this collection, and I still have another eighty or ninety more for a Bonus
Book, if anyone is interested. I don't know about you, but the little kid in me has been vitalized!

It has indeed been exciting collecting and now sharing these many Magic In A. Minute moments
with you.

I'm hoping at least some of them come to your mind when you least expect it, and really need it,
so you can perform some of these wonderful Mac King's Magic in a Minute Tricks, Jokes, Puzzles
and other Nonsense!

Now... Has Mac King really Vanished? I hope not! With the ever changing internet, Long Live the King!
