Also, the position holder should recommend problems to be experienced and propose
optimization techniques that will enhance customer value to improve the marketing department

The selection process for both organizations is similar in many aspects in that they both
obey the recruitment theory. For both companies, the application process is online, where
candidates send their documents for consideration (Roberts, 2017). Another similarity cutting
across both companies is a test in FedEx called an aptitude test, while in DHL, it is called a
critical reasoning test of personality and teamwork. After the aptitude test, both companies have
a waiting time where the candidates wait to be contacted by human resource representatives for
interview sessions. So the next step is the interview both companies conduct as a selection
process. Moreover, the two companies have another similarity in the interview stage. DHL and
FedEx perform two types of interviews; the first is a telephone interview, and the second is a
personal interview ("DHL Careers", 2022). However, there is a difference in the selection
process between the two companies, such that FedEx lacks a background check stage that DHL
lacks. Also, DHL is unique in its assessment center stage, where successful applicants gather to
