One question based on coding-decoding Two sets of 2 questions each based on Direction sense and relations One set of 5 questions based on Analytical Reasoning One set of 5 questions based on Circular Arrangement One set of 5 questions based on Input-Output Five individual questions based on Data Sufficiency (Three statements) One set of 5 questions based on Visual Reasoning (Series Completion) One set of 5 questions based on Visual Reasoning (Similar Figures) 5 questions on Syllogisms (Venn Diagram Based) (possibilities as well as conclusions) 3 questions on Inference, 3 on assumptions, 2 on cause, 2 on effect (These 10 questions were on Critical Reasoning pattern. A small paragraph of about 80 words was followed by a question that asked inference, or assumption, or effect, or cause).

Each set of Analytical Reasoning carried a set of information, which was to be properly analyzed to obtain feasible arrangements. The sets were similar in terms of level of difficulty. An ideal strategy for solving such questions would be to draw a rough table/diagram for possible arrangements and then eliminate cases according to the information given. The set on Input-Output was based on alphabetical and numerical arrangement in each step. Each question on Data Sufficiency consisted of three statements and students were asked to find out the statement(s) sufficient to answer the question. The questions on Visual Reasoning were of moderate level of difficulty. Section II: Mathematical Skills This section of the test was of easy to moderate level of difficulty. The section consisted of:

Pattern Passages were from finance and economics. Questions were generally inferential and needed one to understand the passage One question per passage was vocab based. 30% blanks needed to be filled on the basis of knowledge of grammar particularly prepositions. The passage was from economics. Vocab based blanks were of moderate difficulty level. 2 questions in which the middle line of the paragraph was missing. 1 question in which the last line of the paragraph was missing. 2 questions in which the first line of the paragraph was missing. Questions were not very difficult and options were pretty simple. These are based on a new pattern. One sentence with one blank was given. Five words were given in options to fill the blank. One was asked to select any two words either of which could fill the sentence without changing its meaning. Words were pretty simple but the pattern was new and focus was on understanding the usage of words in a sentence. Synonyms based questions were asked but with a twist. Each question had a word (for example: measure) followed by 4 words The student was asked to read the word and look for the meanings of the word. He had to identify the word as synonyms in which the meaning implied by the word had changed ie If A is a verb form (regulate) and B is a noun form (act) and both are correct as meaning of the word measure then A and B are synonyms. But if both the words mean the same thing like act (A) and process (B) then they are not to be taken as synonyms. 7 sentences were given and the student was asked to rearrange the given sentences in a logical order to form a meaningful paragraph.
