Making predictions is something that you

proficient readers naturally do. As soon as you pick
up a new book in the library or bookstore shelf, you
must be making predictions and judgments about
that book based on the cover as you go on reading
the book .
This Self Learning Kit is made for you to learn to

make predictions. Read, analyze and understand
carefully its contents. Be able to answer the exercises/
activities. Answer them to the best of your ability.
Keep this Self Learning Kit neat and clean. It is

expected that you would take extra care for it. Do not
answer the exercises/ activities in here. Write your
answers in your notebook.
At the end of the lesson, you are expected

to:
1. Discuss the illustrations on the cover
of a book or a story; and
2. Predict what the story may be about.
