Background:
These rules define the functions, duties and powers of the Career Development Centre, the
Placement and Internship Cell of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies. These rules
regulate the conduct of a student of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies as the case may
be, at any internship or recruitment irrespective of said internship or recruitment being granted by
the Career Development Centre.

Executive Summary
The Executive Summary covers a broad outline for the Placement and Internship Rules 2023-24. The
purpose of the Summary is to provide an explanatory overview to the reader. However, it shall not be
considered as a replacement to the Placement and Internship Rules 2023-24 under any circumstances
whatsoever.
1. A student must mandatorily undertake a Summer Internship for a minimum duration of 4 weeks or
complete a Faculty Research Internship for a minimum duration of 6 weeks at the end of the
penultimate year to be eligible for the Placement Season 2023-24; the report of the same must be
submitted as per the guidelines and deadline set by CDC.
2. A student who opts to make an Internship Report will be allowed to mention Non-Disclosure
Agreement (NDA) in the same only if such agreement is stated in the offer letter.
3. A student must have either a minimum of 7 CGPA (Till 3rd or 4th Semester) or must have
attendance of minimum 75% (Till 3rd or 4th Semester) to be eligible for the Placement Season 2023-
24. CDC reserves the discretion to amend this criterion.
4. Students appearing for processes conducted via CDC shall receive attendance/waivers for all
processes as per the nature of such process - Placements or Internships.
5. A student must inform CDC about any PPO received by the student from an organization as an
outcome of an internship at aforementioned organization irrespective of whether the said internship
has been secured via CDC or not, failing which will result in the student being debarred from the
Placement Season 2023-24 (Refer to Chapter III, Annexure F).
6. All organizations recruiting in the Placement Season 2023-24 are differentiated into: Dream, Non-
Dream (Offering 9 LPA and above), Non-Dream (Offering less than 9 LPA), Off-Campus and Day
Zero; Knock Out Policy shall be exercised over offers extended by all such organizations, the
nature of which shall be governed as per Annexure B: Eligibility Criteria of Registered Students
7. While sitting for multiple/overlapping processes, if a student gets an offer from one of the said
Companies, he/she shall be allowed to continue with the processes of other Companies as well; if
the results of two placement processes are declared on the same day, and a student gets selected for
both the Companies, the student shall be given a stipulated deadline to accept one of the offers (Refer
to Chapter VI: Overlap Policy).
8. A student must not externally approach any organization with which CDC has shown its intention
in associating during the Placement or Internship Season.
9. Chapter VII contains an inexhaustive list of defaults that a student may commit during or after a
process, the penalties for the same shall be imposed as per Annexure E; however, CDC reserves the
right to define additional defaults and penalties as and when deemed necessary.

Preliminary
Preamble:
To regulate the Placement and Internship processes of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies by
having a specific framework for smooth and efficient functioning.
1. These Rules shall be called the “The Placement and Internship Rules, 2023-24”:
a. These Rules shall extend to every Placement and Internship undertaken by any student of Shaheed
Sukhdev College of Business Studies irrespective of whether said internship or placement has
been through CDC.
b. These Rules bind every student from the day his/her admission has commenced.
c. These Rules apply prospectively to all the students including the undergraduate and postgraduate
program.
d. These Rules repeal and amend every other existing internship and recruitment rule of Shaheed
Sukhdev College of Business Studies.
Definitions:
2. The following words shall have the assigned meaning for the purpose of these Rules:
a. “PO” - The Placement Officer of SSCBS. In the PO’s absentia, this shall be read as TiC
b. “TiC” - Teacher-in-Charge
c. “CDC” - The Career Development Centre
d. “Day Zero Date” - The date notified by CDC for SSCBS Day Zero recruitments for students of the
penultimate year of the Undergraduate Program
e. “SSCBS Day Zero Process” - The recruitment process carried out by CDC for recruitment by
organizations on Day Zero
f. “SSCBS Day Zero” or “Day Zero” - The day(s) of recruitment to be notified by CDC for the final
year students of the Undergraduate Program
g. “SSCBS Off-Campus Process” - The recruitment process carried out by CDC for recruitment by
organizations, conducted separately from SSCBS Placement Season
h. “SSCBS Recruitment Process” - The recruitment process carried out by CDC for recruitment by
organizations around the year except any recruitment done of the final year students of the
Undergraduate Program on Day Zero
i. “SSCBS Placement Season” - SSCBS Day Zero and SSCBS Recruitment Process collectively
constitute the SSCBS Placement Season
j. “SSCBS” - Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies
k. “University” - University of Delhi
l. “College” - Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies
m. “BMS” - Bachelor of Management Studies
n. “BBA (FIA)” - Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis)
o. “B.Sc. (H)” - Bachelor of Science (Honours) Computer Science
p. “Offer” - A promise of recruitment or internship made by organization which takes part in the
SSCBS Recruitment Process, SSCBS Day Zero or any other process

q. “Pre-Placement Offer (PPO)” - An offer of placement or assessment internship given to a student
based on a previous internship done by said student, provided that such offer is not through the
SSCBS Day Zero or through the SSCBS Recruitment Process
r. “DoJ” - Date of Joining
s. “Organizations/Companies” - Banks, Departments, Firms, Institutions, Non-Governmental
Organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, Universities, etc.
t. “Recruiter” - An organization which is looking to offer SSCBS students or alumni a placement or
aninternship
u. “Rules” - The Placement and Internship Rules, 2023-24
v. “Internship” - A project that involve a student working in an organization in order to gain
workexperience and satisfy requirements for a qualification of a duration of a minimum of 4
weeks
w. “Summer Internship” - An internship beginning at the end of the even semester before the
commencement of the next odd semester
x. “Winter Internship” - An internship beginning at the end of an odd semester before the
commencement of the next even semester
y. “Work from Home Internship” - An internship undertaken all around the year, without visiting
thecompany office
z. “Faculty Research Internship” - A minimum 6-week (42 days) period of work with any faculty
member of SSCBS only, involving detailed research on a topic which can be applied in an
industry environment
aa. “Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)” - A legally enforceable contract that creates a confidential
connection between the student and an organization
ab. “Live Project” - A project that can be worked on in real time with a defined deadline to gain
hands- on experience. These also include Internships that are of a duration of less than 4 weeks
ac. “Internship Report” - A detailed document prepared in accordance with the ‘Internship Report
Guidelines 2023’
ad. “Faculty Research Internship Report” - A detailed document prepared in accordance with the
‘Faculty Research Internship Report Guidelines 2023’
ae. “Dream Companies” - Organizations as notified under Annexure A
af. “Non-Dream Companies” - All organizations other than those that fall under the definition of
“Dream Companies”
ag. “Startup” - A Company that is either registered with SIIF or any other recognized
incubator/accelerator
ah. “Alumni Privileges” - Support provided from the college in the form of, but not limited to:
1. Alumni Recruitment Opportunities
2. Recommendations for future endeavors
Interpretations:
1. All words used in these rules shall have their general meaning unless any express indication to the
contrary
a. The general rules of interpretation shall be followed. ‘Shall’ indicates mandatory and ‘may’
indicates an option.
b. In case of any ambiguity in interpretation, the decision taken by CDC shall be binding and final.

Chapter I
The Career Development Centre
2. CDC shall be the only body in SSCBS with the power, authority and duty to regulate Placements and
Internships for the students and alumni of the College.
3. CDC shall perform the function of contacting various organizations for the purpose of securing
Placement and Internship opportunities for students and alumni of SSCBS.
4. CDC shall collect the applications of students and alumni for sending them to any of the
aforementioned organizations.
5. CDC shall recommend disciplinary action to the College for any misconduct by any student or alumni
at an internship or placement irrespective of the said internship or placement being secured through
CDC or otherwise.
6. CDC shall take cognizance of any such misconduct on the lodging of a complaint from any such
organization where said student or alumni has/had been placed or interning.
7. CDC shall undertake the function of carrying out training and development sessions, seminars and
other initiatives to provide additional avenues of growth and development.
8. CDC shall be the final authority to decide the Placement and Internship Rules for the College.
9. CDC shall have plenary powers to make any recommendation to the College for taking disciplinary
action for any misconduct of a student or an alumnus at any placement or internship irrespective of
the said internship or placement being secured through CDC.
10. CDC reserves discretion to amend, repeal or suspend application of all or any of the Rules herein
contained for any reason.
11. CDC shall consist of a team of administrative staff and faculty as appointed and decided by the
College.
12. CDC shall have a PO as appointed by the University along with other TiCs.
13. In the absence of a PO, CDC shall have a Head from the TiCs who is appointed by the College and
whose task shall be to overlook the day-to-day functioning of CDC.

Chapter II
Internships and Live Projects
1. A student must mandatorily undertake a summer internship for a minimum duration of 4 weeks or
complete a Faculty Research Internship for a minimum duration of 6 weeks at the end of the
penultimate year to be eligible for the Placement Season 2023-24.
2. A student is required to prepare an Internship/Faculty Research Internship Report and submit the
same as per the deadlines set by CDC, regardless of whether the internship period extends beyond
the deadline. Failing to do the same will make the student ineligible to register in the SSCBS
Placement Season.
3. A student who opts to make an Internship Report will be allowed to mention Non-Disclosure
Agreement (NDA) in the same only if such agreement is stated in the offer letter.
4. A student will not be allowed to consent for the SSCBS Internship Season post the given deadline, and
the said consent shall stand null and void.
5. CDC shall send out a call for applications via email with regard to internship opportunities which it
has procured. Subsequently, consents from registered students shall be collected for every Company
that comes to recruit from SSCBS.
6. A student’s consent for a Company that later refuses to be part of the SSCBS Internship Season, shall
stand null and void.
7. A student’s consent once given, cannot be withdrawn beyond the given deadline, except under
exceptional and absolutely unavoidable circumstances, the nature of which shall be determined by
CDC.
8. A student is required to dress formally for each round of the Internship Process (Refer to Annexure
D: Dress Code for guidelines regarding the same).
9. All resumes have to be mailed on [email protected] or uploaded on the consent form in PDF
Format with the file name as “FirstName<space>LastName.pdf” e.g., ‘Aman Malhotra.pdf’
a. A student applying for an internship through CDC is required to strictly adhere to the CDC
resume format.
b. Resumes which do not adhere to the guidelines will not be accepted under any circumstances.
10. In case of any emergency, a student may withdraw his/her consent by sending an email to
[email protected], latest by 4 PM on the day prior to the day of the placement process, provided
the process does not involve resume shortlisting, under which withdrawals shall not be considered
afterthe deadline mentioned in the respective process mail. The timestamp of the email as received on
the relevant email address as communicated by CDC shall be considered as the actual time of receiving
anyconsent, withdrawal or any other such request.
11. A student is required to inform CDC before the specified deadlines stated in the respective offer mails
about his/her final decision, especially if he/she is planning on not interning at the concerned
organization. Any failure to communicate the same within the stipulated time would be considered as
willful acceptance of the offer by the candidate.
12. A student will not be eligible to appear for any opportunities after securing an offer.
13. A student will receive waivers for the classes he/she misses by virtue of being involved in any
recruitment round of a Company’s internship process that is conducted through CDC.

Conduct of student at any Internship/Live Project:
14. Any mail sent by the student to the company directly, in case the said company has been brought on
campus through CDC shall have [email protected] in cc mandatorily.
15. A student whether receiving an internship through CDC or not shall conduct himself in a professional
manner.
16. A student shall have to maintain the organization’s confidentiality at all times.
17. Any indiscipline reported by any organization shall have strict action taken by CDC.

Chapter III
Pre-Placement Offer
Note: Kindly refer to Annexure F: Pre-Placement Offer Policy
18. The status of a Pre-Placement Process, along with requisite proof, of any student who has received
an internship to an organization offering Pre-Placement Offer to him/her shall be intimated to CDC
by the student irrespective of acceptance/rejection of the Pre-Placement Offer, regardless of whether
such student pursued the internship through CDC or otherwise.
19. A student failing to inform CDC of his/her Pre-Placement Offer shall be debarred from the SSCBS
Day Zero Process and SSCBS Recruitment Processes.
20. A student who has received a PPO at an organization as an outcome of an internship at
aforementioned organization has the option to either accept or reject the offer latest by 15th August
2023. Failure to communicate the same shall be considered as willful acceptance of the offer by the
candidate.
21. A student who has received a PPO at a Dream Company as an outcome of an internship at
aforementioned Dream Company and has accepted said offer shall be eligible only for SSCBS Day
Zero Process.
22. A student who has received a PPO at a Non-Dream Company, offering a package equal to or greater
than INR 9 LPA, as an outcome of an internship at aforementioned Non-Dream Company and has
accepted said offer shall eligible only for SSCBS Day Zero Process and SSCBS Off-Campus
Processes.
23. A student who has received a PPO at a Non-Dream Company, offering a package less than INR 9
LPA, as an outcome of an internship at aforementioned Non-Dream Company and has accepted said
offer shall be eligible to sit for the recruitment processes of Dream Companies, SSCBS Day Zero
Process and SSCBS Off-Campus Processes only.
24. A student who has received a PPO at an organization as an outcome of an internship at
aforementioned organization, given such student has pursued said internship through CDC, and has
rejected said offer shall not be knocked out of the SSCBS Day Zero Process and SSCBS Recruitment
Process.
25. A student who has received a PPO at an organization as an outcome of an internship at
aforementioned organization, given such student has not pursued said internship through CDC, must
inform the status of the same to CDC latest by 15th August 2023 or within 48 hours of the offer being
made, whichever is later.

Chapter IV
The Day Zero
Kindly refer to Annexure B: Eligibility Criteria for Registered Students
26. The SSCBS Day Zero Rules shall be declared by CDC. These rules shall be in place until the
completion of Day Zero or any other date that is specified by CDC.
27. In the absence of a special notification from CDC intimating the SSCBS Day Zero Rules, The
Day Zero shall follow the same rules as those set for SSCBS Recruitment Process and detailed
in the following chapter.

Chapter V
SSCBS Off-Campus Process
Kindly refer to Annexure B: Eligibility Criteria for Registered Students
1. CDC reserves the discretion to hold off-campus processes as per the definition of “SSCBS
Off-Campus Process” in the Placement and Internship Rules 2023-24.
2. A student placed in SSCBS Off-Campus Process shall be knocked out from the entire
Placement Season 2023-24.
3. A student placed in SSCBS Placement Season other than the ones placed in SSCBS Day
Zero Process is eligible to appear for SSCBS Off-Campus Process.
4. CDC reserves the right to amend these rules at its discretion.

Chapter VI
Recruitment
Months of Recruitment:
5. The SSCBS Placement Season shall operate in two phases stated below:
• Phase 1: August to December
• Phase 2: January to June
6. Registration for both phases shall be accepted separately as per the deadlines intimated by CDC.
7. A student must meet at least one of the following criteria till 3rd or 4th Semester to be eligible to
participate in the SSCBS Placement Season:
• The student must have an attendance of minimum 75%
• The student must have a CGPA of minimum 7
8. A student must mandatorily undertake a Summer Internship for a minimum duration of 4 weeks or
complete a Faculty Research Internship for a minimum duration of 6 weeks at the end of the
penultimate year to be eligible for the Placement Season 2023-24.
9. A student is required to prepare an Internship/Faculty Research Internship Report and submit the
same as per the deadlines set by CDC, regardless of whether the internship period extends beyond
the deadline.
10. A student who opts to make an Internship Report will be allowed to mention Non-Disclosure
Agreement (NDA) in the same only if such agreement is stated in the offer letter.
11. A student who is not eligible for the Phase 1 of the Placement Season 2023-24 may sign a Bond
with the Placement Cell in order to be eligible for the Phase 2 of the Placement Season 2023-24.
For the same, he/she is required to send a mail to [email protected] by the end of August
2023.
12. A student must send the soft copy of his/her authenticated resume to the placement cell in PDF
format as per the deadlines, which will be notified via mail. Failure to do so shall result in the
student beingdeemed ineligible to participate in the SSCBS Placement Season.
13. A student who has graduated one year prior to the existing batch shall be permitted to participate in
the SSCBS Placement Season in case he/she undertakes a Startup and it fails. However, the
availability of this provision is subject to the submission of appropriate verifiable proofs and
documentation of the organization as required by the definition of a “Startup” mentioned in the
Placement and Internship Rules, 2023-24.
14. A student found responsible for using unfair means in an examination shall be considered
ineligible for any SSCBS Placement Season.
15. A student currently under investigation for the use of unfair means shall not be allowed to
participate in any SSCBS Placement Season till such time as the University clears their case and
finds them absolved of the charge of using unfair means. All confirmed cases shall have to be
debarred from participating in SSCBS Placement Season.
16. A student shall be part of the SSCBS Placement Season, given the student is eligible to do so, via a
process as deemed fit by CDC, the dates of which shall be notified independently.

17. A student is required to dress formally for each round of the Placement Process (Refer to Annexure
D: Dress Code for guidelines regarding the same)
18. The Company that wishes to recruit has complete and absolute discretion in deciding the number and
nature of the rounds comprising the placement process.
19. CDC shall send out a Call for Applications via email with regard to recruitment opportunities which
it has procured. Subsequently, consents from registered students shall be collected for every
Company that comes to recruit from SSCBS.
20. A student’s consent for a Company that later refuses to be part of the SSCBS Placement Season, shall
stand null and void.
21. A student’s consent once given, cannot be withdrawn beyond the given deadline, except under
exceptional and absolutely unavoidable circumstances, the nature of which shall be determined by
CDC.
22. In case of any emergency, a student may withdraw his/her consent by sending an email to
[email protected], latest by 4 PM on the day prior to the day of the placement process, provided
the process does not involve resume shortlisting under which withdrawals shall not be considered
after the deadline mentioned in the respective process mail. The timestamp of the email as received
on the relevant email address as communicated by CDC shall be considered as the actual time of
receiving any consent, withdrawal or any other such request.
23. A student’s consent received after the given deadline for a particular Company, shall stand null and
void.
24. A student will receive waivers for the classes he/she misses by virtue of being involved in any
recruitment round of a Company’s recruitment process that is conducted through CDC.
Knockout Policy:
25. A student who receives an offer of employment from an organization shall be deemed placed, and
will be ineligible for future SSCBS Recruitment Processes, i.e., the student shall be “Knocked Out”
of the SSCBS Placement Season.
26. CDC has the authority to suspend the knockout policy for an organization, i.e., a student placed at
such company, shall be eligible to participate in the recruitment processes of other organizations
that become a part of the SSCBS Placement Season.
27. The Knockout Policy stands de facto suspended for all Dream Companies for students placed in
Non-Dream Companies (Refer Annexure A).
Exception: The Knockout Policy shall not be suspended for those students who have been placed at
an organization offering an Annual CTC of 9 LPA or greater.
Overlap Policy:
28. If the results of two placement processes are declared on the same day, and a student gets selected for
both the Companies, the student shall be given a stipulated deadline to accept one of the offers.
29. If the abovementioned option is not exercised within the given time period, the first offer shall hold.

30. While sitting for multiple/overlapping processes, if a student gets an offer from one of the said
Companies, he/she shall be allowed to continue with the processes of other Companies as well.
31. Processes are treated as overlapping when the selection process has begun.
32. Consenting for the processes does not make them overlapping until the rounds for the selection
process have been commenced by the Company wherein:
• If the process of the Company involves resume shortlisting, the process is said to have been
started on the last day of consenting for the process
• In case there is no resume shortlisting, the process is said to have started only after the
Company begins selection rounds for the candidates
33. If a student wishes to discontinue with the other overlapping processes after getting an offer, he/she
has the option to withdraw his/her consent by informing the placement cell.
34. Once a student receives an offer from a Dream Company, he/she shall be knocked out from all
overlapping processes irrespective of the stage of the process as well as the nature of Company.
35. CDC reserves the right to suspend the overlap policy at its discretion.

Chapter VII
Defaulter Policy
Note: Kindly refer to Annexure E: Penalties for penalty definitions
36. Any student whose consent for a Company is received late but is accepted under special
circumstances, shall warrant Penalty 8 and/or Penalty 11.
37. Any student who informs of their withdrawal from any recruitment round of a Company’s
recruitment process less than 12 hours of the same shall warrant Penalty 9 and/or Penalty 12.
38. Any student failing to adhere to the dress code (Refer to Annexure D) while appearing for a
recruitment round of a Company’s recruitment process shall warrant Penalty 8 and/or Penalty 11.
39. Any student reporting late for a recruitment round of a Company’s recruitment process for which the
student has consented, without any prior intimation, shall warrant Penalty 8 and/or Penalty 11 (Initial
Round) or Penalty 9 and Penalty 12 (Closing Round).
40. Any student failing to appear for a recruitment round of a Company’s recruitment process
for which the student has consented, without any prior intimation, shall warrant:
• Case I: Initial Round - Penalty 1.2
• Case II: Closing Round - Penalty 1.3
41. Any student who defaults in the placement process of 2 companies shall warrant Penalty 2.
42. Any student failing to appear for a recruitment round of a Dream Company’s recruitment process
for which the student has consented, without any prior intimation, shall warrant:
• Case I: Initial Round - Penalty 1.2 and Penalty 1.4
• Case II: Closing Round - Penalty 1.3 and Penalty 1.5
43. Any student failing to adhere to Rule 18 shall warrant Penalty 7.
44. Any student found making direct contact with a Company that is recruiting from the college through
CDC, shall warrant Penalty 9 and/or Penalty 12.
45. Any student found applying externally for a Company that is recruiting from the college through
CDC, shall warrant Penalty 1.5 and/or Penalty 10 and/or Penalty 13.
46. Any student found using a resume not stamped and verified by CDC, or furnishing any
false/misleading information to a recruiter, shall warrant Penalty 3, Penalty 5, Penalty 6, Penalty 10
and/or Penalty 13.
47. Any student who does not consent for at least 4 Companies in Phase 1 and at least 5 Companies in
Phase 2 shall warrant Penalty 2.
48. Any student who does not inform of their decision to join a Company shall warrant the following
penalties as per the following cases:
• Case I: Informs less than 1 month (2 weeks for Internship) prior to the DoJ -
Penalty 5 and/or Penalty 6 and/or Penalty 9 and/or Penalty 12
• Case II: Does not inform -
Penalty 4, Penalty 5 and/or Penalty 6 and/or Penalty 10 and/or Penalty 13
49. Any student found guilty of the following shall be debarred from the SSCBS Internship Season and
SSCBS Placement Season and shall have to face disciplinary action from CDC:
• Any misbehavior in an internship which includes defaming the University or its faculty, staff,
students, alumni etc. at the internship premises
• Not going on the prescribed date of internship as communicated by CDC

• Not joining the internship at all without submitting a medical certificate or any other
justified reason backed by a reasonable explanation/proof; justified reason shall be decided
by CDC
• Using personal contact to alter/cancel any internship assigned by CDC
• Using foul language
50. A student against whom a Company lodges a complaint shall warrant any action as deemed fit by
CDC, which may or may not be covered in Annexure E.
51. CDC shall communicate all cases of default with CDC policies for SSCBS Placement and Internship
Season to the respective Companies (for students who have received job/internship offers through
CDC) and the decision regarding final continuance or withdrawal of the offer made shall be at the
discretion of the Company. CDC shall not negotiate with the Companies on behalf of such students.
Note:
1. Any other misconduct by a student shall invite action from CDC. The aforementioned rules are
merely illustrative and not exhaustive
2. The term ‘Recruitment’ encompasses the capacities of both Placement and Internship Processes

Annexure A: Dream Companies
The following Companies fall under the definition of “Dream Company” for the Placement and
Internship Season 2023-24:
Note:
1. The list of Companies is not an indication of the Companies coming on campus for placements. It
shall be used as a reference only if the Company agrees to recruit from the college
2. CDC shall not be held responsible if any Company mentioned in the list of Dream Companies does
not visit the collegefor recruitment
3. CDC reserves the right to amend the list of Dream Companies as and when required by notifying the
students via email

Unplaced Students: Unplaced Students shall be able to sit for the placement processes of all
Companies.
Students placed in non-dream Companies offering less than 9 LPA: Students placed in Non-
Dream Companies offering less than INR 9 LPA shall be eligible to sit for the placement processes
of all Dream Companies, SSCBS Off-Campus Processes and SSCBS Day Zero Process only.
Students Placed in a Dream Company or a Non-Dream Companies offering 9 LPA and above:
Students placed in Dream Companies or Non-Dream Companies offering INR 9 LPA and above
shall not be eligible to sit for the placement process SSCBS Off-Campus Processes and SSCBS
Day Zero Process only.
Students Placed in Day Zero Process: Students placed in SSCBS Day Zero Process shall
be knocked out from the SSCBS Recruitment Process and SSCBS Off-Campus Processes

Annexure C: Offline Process
• During the offline process, students need to carry 3 copies each of their stamped resume and
passport size photograph on the day of the process
• The dress code has to be followed strictly as mentioned in Annexure D
• All the participating students are required to assemble in Room No. 107 on the days of the process
• The reporting time is informed by the CDC PoC via mail one day prior to the offline process
• Being late/absent for the offline process will not be tolerated, except under exceptional and absolutely
unavoidable circumstances, the nature of which shall be determined by CDC and only in cases where
the student has conveyed the same to the CDC PoC in advance
• Mobile Phones or any electronic gadgets have to be kept silent throughout the duration of the process
- Tests, GDs, PPTs
• Mobile Phones or any electronic gadgets are not permitted while appearing for the interview(s)
• Students are required to be available for the entire day on the day of a process
• CDC is not liable to provide any kind of refreshments to the students
• Students are not allowed to approach the Company PoC(s) directly during an ongoing process

Annexure D: Dress Code
Students are required to dress formally for each round of the Placement Process. Tests, Group
Discussions, Pre-Placement Talks and Personal Interviews all require students to dress formally,
irrespective of whether the same is conducted on campus or off campus.
• All students must be in formal business attire; girls can wear either Indian or Western formals
(Excluding sarees)
• T-shirts and Denim trousers shall not be permitted under any circumstances
• Shirts, trousers and belts must be plain and simple; students are not allowed to wear floral prints or
clothes which appear too bright
• Students are advised to wear well-polished, formal leather shoes; girls must wear low heels
• Hair must be kept neat, tidy and clean always; long hair must be tied up
• Hair fasteners must be of a neutral color, or a color that complements the professional attire;
fluorescent or extreme hair colors and accessories are not permitted
• Facial hair must be clean shaven or neatly trimmed
• Nails must be trimmed, filed and well cleaned
• Students must pay attention to their own personal hygiene
• Religious headwear is allowed but it must complement the attire
• Students are advised to wear decent clothes; clothes such as tight-fitting trousers, miniskirts, short
skirts and halter tops are unprofessional and are not to be worn
Note: Failure to adhere to the above-mentioned dress code shall lead to the student being considered
a defaulter as per CDC rules and liable to face applicable penalties

Annexure E: Penalties
1. The student shall be debarred from the following Company processes:
1.1 The next Company for which the selection process has not started and the student is eligible
for
1.2 The next 2 Companies for which the selection process has not started and the student is
eligible for
1.3 The next 5 Companies for which the selection process has not started and the student is
eligible for
1.4 The next Dream Company coming on campus and the student is eligible for
1.5 The next 2 Dream Companies coming on campus and the student is eligible for
2. The student shall be debarred from the SSCBS Placement Season
3. The student shall face a disciplinary hearing, which shall decide the penalty to be levied
4. The student shall not receive his/her transcripts from the college
5. The student shall not receive his/her character certificate from the college
6. The student shall be stripped of Alumni Privileges
7. The student shall be blacklisted and his/her name shall be shared with a list of potential recruiters, if
and when necessary
8. The student shall not be provided attendance/waivers for the process of the Company for which the
default has occurred
9. The student shall not be provided attendance/waivers for five Company processes he/she undertakes
during the duration of the SSCBS Placement Season
10. The student shall not be provided any attendance for the SSCBS Placement Season

Note:
1. The strikes of each student will be accumulated throughout the SSCBS Placement Season, that is,
the penalties will be imposed based on the total number of strikes in Phase 1 and Phase 2
2. The penalties shall be exercised simultaneously on the defaulters and the strike count shall not be
reset to 0 after imposition of a penalty
3. For internship defaults, read SSCBS Placement Season as SSCBS Internship Season
4. For internship defaults, the penalty may carry over to succeeding SSCBS Internship Season (For First
Year Students) and SSCBS Placement Season (For Second Year Students)
