SUR SANGAM

SINGING COMPETITION

DATE: 25 October 2024


TIME: 12:00 PM onwards
VENUE: Dome Area, PIMRG

Rules of the event:

SCREENING ROUND:
Participants must send their recorded video of not more than 90 seconds, after
registering for the event along with Name of the Participants, Gender, Name of
School/Institutions/College, and Alternative Mobile No. On any one of the
Whatsapp numbers of “SUR SANGAM” student coordinators only. We will
inform you for screening round.
Those Internal participant’s marks will be more than 35 will be selected for the
final round

Also, you are supposed to attach your registration slip. Qualifying


participants will be promoted to next round.

ROUND 1 – RAAG DIL SE -OWN CHOICE SONG


Participants are supposed to sing a song of their own choice. Complete
Stanza should be sung by the participants. The maximum time that will
be provided is of 1 minute. This is elimination round. Selected
participants will be taken final round.

Participants will be judged on the basis of these parameters


 Voice quality and Modulation
 Sur and lay
 Pronunciation
 Scale
 Selection of the song
MARKING will be done on the basis of above mentioned
parameters (Total marks 50)

Rules
 No negative marking.
 If MUKHADA has more than three or more wrong words then
it will be treated incorrect.
ROUND 2 – SUR TUMHARE, GEET HAMARE-Theme based round
Themes will be provided are given below :-
1. For Girls:
 Shreya Ghoshal
 Sunidhi Chauhan
 Alka Yagnik
 Asha Bhosle
2. For Boys:
 Sonu Nigam
 Mohammed Rafi
 Jubin Nautiya
 Atif Aslam
Note: - Performance Tips
1. Emotional Connection
2. Vocal Expressions
3. Stage Presence
4. Audience Engagement

Participants are required to sing the song as per the selected theme

Marking
 Evaluation will be done out of total 50 marks for correct song.
 Evaluation should be done out of 40 marks if Candidate is not able to
sing on the first selected theme.

Rules-
 Only complete stanza will be marked correct.
 Participants will be called out only in sequence, no interruptions will be
allowed.
 Judge’s decision will be final.
 The participants scoring highest marks in second round will be
considered as winners.
 Only 8 participants will enter the final round.
 All the participants are requested to bring their respective song’s karaoke
along with them in Pen Drive for round 1, in case of fail to bring the
same, participant shall be disqualified.
 No vulgar or odd lyrics are allowed in any case.
 Karaoke’s of songs should be sent before 15 days of Event to the
same Student Coordinator to whom the recording of screening round
was sent.
 Participant sending recording or karaoke to multiple student
coordinators shall be disqualified.
 Participants are required to dress according to their song or should
groom decently, if fail to do so then will not be allowed to participate in
the event.

*Judges decision will be the final. No complaints and allegations will be


entertained.
