Merit Grants to Students securing 1 st

Division in Madyamik Examination


Eligibility (as per guidelines):
SL Eligibility Criteria
No.
1. Must be an Unreserved (UR)Category Candidate.

2. Must be qualified with 1st Division Grade in Madhyamik Examination.

3. Resident of Tripura.

Supporting Documents:
1. As BMS is ration card-based system, only (a) Clause above may be considered. System
will capture the RC no. and map beneficiary with RC member ID. No need to upload
document.
2. Following Documents required to be uploaded:
a) Bonafide certificate issued by the school
b) Madhyamik Admit Card.
c) Madhyamik Marksheet.
d) Madhyamik Passing Certificate

1.User Registration & Login:


There are 3 types of Login module in BMS portal, i.e., Citizen Login, Department
Login & Admin Login which Student/beneficiary will find after visiting the
URL: https://bms.tripura.gov.in/bms/. After visiting this URL, Student has to click
the Citizen Login option:
Now Student has to register by clicking Register here where new specific field of
registration will have to be filled up by them. They are:
1. Full Name 2. Email ID 3. Mobile Number
Now entering received OTP on registered Mobile Number the Student will
register. And then in Home Page they will have to Login either through his Mobile
Number or Email ID. They will have to enter the OTP received in registered Mobile
No. or email ID.
2. Apply on Departmental Schemes:
After Login, Student will view the Home Page of BMS portal where all list of on-
boarded Govt. DBT Scheme of Secondary Education will appear in Education
section of the available department. Student now from the list, have to select
their particular department Schemes i.e. “Merit Grant to the students who passed
in 1ST Division in Madhyamik Examination ” with scheme code “CEKYQ” in which
he/she will have to apply and have to click the Enroll button.
N.B: Applicant can Click the “? View Group Rule” nearby Enroll button, which is
provided to clarify the Group Rule of different Schemes of various Department
where Student can apply maximum 1 Schemes from a particular Department
Scheme list if Department have such provision.

Now, after enrolling in the particular Scheme, Student will view the Scheme Basic
Info & Scheme Payment Info page & now Student will click the proceed button.

3.Scheme Enrollment:

Now in the next new page the Student will have to enroll in that Scheme and
applicant needs to select his/her domicile status as shown below
Clicking on Yes, applicant has to enter the 12-digit Ration Card No. and Search.
System will search the Ration Card database and display the list of family
members found in the given Ration Card. The applicant needs to select his/her
name from the list of members.

If name is found then ‘Select’ the name which will display personal details and
address details fetched from Ration Card database.
Clicking on Save, below shown page will appear. Fill up all mandatory fields and
upload required documents.
After that, the existing page will redirect to the Profile update part where you
have to update your profile by filling up the required mandatory data field. And
then click save profile to complete the update profile.

Then after clicking the save profile button a message will come up successfully
save and then you have to click redirect me to apply to the Merit Grants to the
students who passed in 1ST Division in Madhyamik Examination for Secondary
Education.
And then Student has to click again the Apply Online Button to apply for the Merit
Grants to the students who passed in 1ST Division in Madhyamik Examination
Scheme. And again Student has to click on Enroll button in the other Section to
enroll in the Merit Grants to the students who passed in 1ST Division in
Madhyamik Examination in Secondary Education.

Then again, a page will arrive with all the preview details of the above scheme.
And in that, Student have to click on Proceed Button.

Scheme Enrollment Form and its Submission
Now for “Merit Grants to the Students who passed in 1ST Division in Madhyamik
Examination” scheme, Student has to fill up some details like Basic Mandatory
Info, Address Area, and Bank Account Information. To apply on this scheme, in
Scheme Specific Document Area, applicants have to upload required following
documents:
i) Photograph (Jpg format),
ii) Bonafied certificate issued by the School, (PDF format)
iii) Madhyamik Admit Card (PDF format)
iv) Madhyamik Marksheet (PDF format)
v) Madhyamik Passing Certificate (PDF format)

After uploading required documents Student have to fill up Additional


Information part i.e, to select School Name from School list of Tripura,
Examination Passed 1ST division in Madhyamik Examination, Percentage of Marks,
Total Marks , Marks Obtained ,Grade ,Adhar Number and then applicants have to
press “Next” button to proceed for final submission of application in BMS portal.

4. Final Submission Page: Now after enrollment, a preview of the application


of that scheme will be visible to Student. Where Student will find all his/her
details which he/she filled up during enrollment on that particular scheme of the
department. By clicking the “view more” button applicant can also view his/her
uploaded documents.
Now after clicking the checkbox of applicant final confirmation, Student can go for
Final Submit or Previous (if any changes required on previous page) button.
Application submission will complete after clicking the Final Submit button.

5. View/Print Acknowledgement Slip:


After Final Submission Applicant can view a Dashboard where he/she can view or
print his/her Acknowledgement Slip.

6. Resubmission Process: This process is the option to resubmit
Documents/Details of Student requested by the Higher Authority Checker. If
some cases Student upload wrong data or documents, Higher Authority Checker
can raise query by marking Defected application. In that case a message will arrive
at registered applicant registered Mobile Number to resubmit their application.
When after applicant Login into their account, they will find the option to
resubmit the defected application with a proper reason/requirement from
Checker. Then they have to click the Proceed button there.

And then again the previous form of Scheme Enrollment page will appear where
applicant will again upload or provide the required Documents/Details for which
this application has been raised defected by the Checker. And after Upload of
correct Documents, he/she will press the Next Button to complete the
Resubmission Process.

1. Login:

Visit the Beneficiary Management System (Portal) over Internet at


https://bms.tripura.gov.in/bms/ and Click on Department Login

Now Maker will enter the Login ID(Mobile number/Email Id) and the Password
and put the captcha ( eg. Answer the following question 5X3=15) followed by
Click on Login Button.

N.B.: If Maker forgets the password then click on Forgot Password→ Enter
the
mobile number/Email Id→ One OTP will be sent to the given mobile number
→Create a new Password /Change the Password.

Select Scheme (schemes of concern welfare department) from the Dropdown.

Office name will be the School name of the concern Maker (INO), Now Click on
Select Button.

Go to Menu on Top left corner right below the emblem.

Scheme Enrolment
To start the Enrollment, Maker (INO) needs to enter the 12 Digit Ration card
number first. After entering the RC number there are two options available to
operate:-
1) Fetch Previous Application (Renewal/Checking Student’s previous year
application).
2) Search (Fresh Entry)
Enrolment (Renewal):
Enter the 12-digit Ration Card No. of the student and Click onFetch Previous
Application. If the student applied for the same Scheme previous year then
details will be fetched from database automatically

Now maker need to recheck his/her details and if any mandatory field is
missing then fill up the same. Most importantly upload the Bonafied certificate
issued by the School and other mandatory supporting documents the class and
other required details.

After filling the mandatory details next click on the Declaration checkbox and
next Save the Form Successfully.
N.B: After Clicking Fetch previous Application Button if system shows
Previous Application Not Found then go for Fresh Enrolment (Click on
Search).

Fresh Enrolment:
As it has been found that the there is no application available with this ration
card previously so the student will apply for the scheme first time (Fresh
Application).
So for fresh enrollment enter the 12 Digit Ration card number and click on
search System will search the Ration Card database and display the list of
family members found in the given Ration Card. Maker (INO) needs to Select
Student’s name from the list of members.

If name is found then Select the name which will display personal details and
address details fetched from Ration Card database.

These fields (Personal Details, Address Details) are optional no need to fill up.
But Bank Account No. and IFS Code are mandatory. So Enter the bank
account no., IFS Code, tick the declaration and click on Save.

After Clicking on Save below shown page will appear. Fill up all mandatory
fields (Basic Info, Address Area, Account Information, Scheme Specific
Document Area and Scheme Payment Related Information) some details are
already fetched from RC next upload required documents.

N.B:For photograph, only image file (jpg, jpeg etc.) upto 2 MB is allowed. For all
other documents,only PDF upto 2 MB is allowed.

At last tick the declaration check box then Save the Form.

7.Assisted Mode List:

Maker (INO) can review all the submitted application list (Fresh & Renewal) at
ASSISTED MODE LIST menu.

From the list Maker can View the Applications at View Application for review
Purpose.

8.Resubmission Of Defective Applications

If Checker makes any Application Defective then maker needs to resubmit the
Application. To get the Defective application list click on Ensign verified

Click on View Defective Beneficiary List

Click

Now maker will see the Remarks (Reason given by checker) and will take Action
by clicking the specific button according the remarks.

After doing the required correction click on Update details. Here the
Resubmission is completed successfully. Application form will be moved to
the Checker login again.
