Issue or Concern: Bullying

Background: According to the PISA 2019, 65% of Filipino students reported being
victims of any type of bullying at least a few times in a month, with 40% being
bullied frequently (once a week or more). On the other hand, the PISA 2022
reports that one out three Filipino students are being bullied in schools. This is
about 43% of girls and 53% of boys in the Philippines encounter bullying incidents
multiple times a month. This is much higher than the OECD average of 20% of
girls, and 21% of boys.

In our school, bullying is one of the leading problem when it comes to social
interaction and manners. Manners is must and peace is needed to achieve in
school. “Be a buddy, not a bully” campaign shall be done and implemented.

Campaign: Be a buddy, not a bully !

Objective: To help people who are suffering depression and boost someone’s
confidence without fear and doubt, to express their selves without second
thoughts. It may also help to heal those trauma and lessen the breakdown of
people due to bullying.

Plan of Action:

The campaign shall be introduced to students during the students assembly and
thru other social media platforms.

Be mature and be responsible enough for your action and for what you are doing
to people around you.

Friends, especially family should support and be a good example to show or to

lead the child to have a good and right manners.

Teach students about responsible online behavior, the potential consequences of

cyber bullying and engage parents in conversation about online safety and cyber
bullying prevention.

Implement clear and strict anti-bullying policies in school and encourage students
to report incidents to teachers, counselors, or other trusted adults.
