Teacher’s Reflection
“Every student can learn. Just not on the same day or the same way.”-George Evans
As it provides adequate
designs in emphasizing the needs, capabilities, perspectives, talents and
backgrounds of
individual learners. It helps learners to develop their knowledge and skills for their
professional
career. These principles will guide teachers to be effective in relating to the needs of
their
students. The teacher, moreover, needs to have a good relationship or connection with
students,
they can be friends, playmates, and that makes the learning place more pleasant and fun. It
also
encourages students to pay attention and actively participate in the activities
First quarter. Leaners have their own and unique way in the teaching-learning process,
as a teacher of senior high school for almost 4 years, I discover that some of the learners need
to focus on developing their language proficiency. As a Filipino subject teacher, my learner-
centered philosophy is focused on developing language proficiency, promoting cultural
appreciation, and fostering critical thinking skills among my students throughout the school
year. I believe in creating an inclusive and interactive learning environment where students
actively engage in the study of the Filipino language and culture. Using differentiated
instructional materials can help learners discover their own capabilities and skills and can
help teachers know more about their learners.
Second Quarter. Putting the learners at the heart of the entire teaching-learning
process provides adequate designs in emphasizing the needs, capabilities,
perspectives, talents and backgrounds of individual learners. It helps learners to develop
their knowledge and skills for their professional career. These principles will guide
teachers to be effective in relating to the needs of their students. The teacher, moreover,
needs to have a good relationship or connection with students, they can be friends, playmates,
and that makes the learning place more pleasant and fun. It also catch the learners to pay
attention and actively participate in the activities. Some of our learners have a lot of ideas to
be shared to their classmates or colleagues also for some activities that the teacher tasked for
them.
Third quarter. Believing in your learners capabilities and knowing their skills that can
help them in the teaching-learning process can also help you as a teacher to prepare varied
activities that can catch the attention of learners. Providing students with options for
exploring topics of interest within curriculum. Promoting a learner-centered activities that can
developed and enhanced their skills, giving them enough time to think well and discover
more about the activities given to them. As a teacher or a facilitator you can also discover and
explore more about learners interest so that you can more provide differentiated activities that
can help them grow and develop the skills they discover. Allowing them an open-ended
questions by sharin g ideas from peers and classmates. Giving feedbacking can help them
growth and improvement.
The nature and goal of the
learning process indicates the teachers intention which is to provide knowledge and enhance
the
capabilities of the students, with that, the students are expected to meet the
intention they
received from the teacher. Also, teachers guide students to set their goal and help them
to
achieve it. Teachers are able to use different strategies where students can easily understand
the
lesson. And always consider the factors affecting the students' learning process, the
differences
and uniqueness of them.
